DO NOT GO HERE
I stopped in around 7:00pm since I was passing by. I had nothing but bad service and problems with the food. First, they advertised a free shake with purchase of a burger but you have to place the order online or through the app. The promo code didn’t work for myself or the other people I was with. The manager said that he would not honor the promo since I could try to come back and use it again and again if he honored it. Second, while I was ordering, someone came up and said that they never got their food after 45 minutes. The customer started cussing out the employee very loudly and started by saying he doesn’t care who hears and kept going on and on attacking the employee as a person. The manager was off to the side just watching it happen and did or said nothing to help the employee or try and fix the situation. The employee said they would get the kitchen to make the food immediately. The manager should have stepped in so the employee wasn’t in the line of fire and he should have offered to refund his order and still make the food if the guy wanted but he didn’t. He let him employee take it and have to try and solve the issue. The manger was half working in the kitchen stocking things and half working in the dining area on his laptop. It looked super unprofessional. Third, we waited a half an hour to get burgers and fries… literally the only thing on their menu and everyone else’s orders took the same amount of time. They said they weren’t understaffed or having any other issues. The store wasn’t even full so prepare to wait another 20-30 minutes after having to stand in line for 10 minutes while they take the two people’s order in front of you. Lastly, no one in the kitchen was wearing a hair net and we found a hair in one of our burgers. The rest of the burgers were decent but the fries we ordered were all cold. It was $20 without a drink. I would NOT recommend coming here to anyone until they can get a decent manager who knows how to take charge and cares about the employees and someone who can actually keep the kitchen running smoothly so it doesn’t take over 45 minutes to get a couple burgers and fries from the time a customer walks into...
Read moreI’m not sure why people are raving about this burger spot. We gave it some time after grand opening so we could avoid the crowds and typical wait times of a new launch. You order everything separately. (If you’re on a budget be conscious of this because it adds up.) Initial interaction wasn’t memorable. The lady had no smile, no enthusiasm, and was in no hurry to clean the dining room which was full of tables that needed wiped down. Unfortunate because inside looks modern which is inviting. Also, there are tables right by the ordering counter, so ordering can get awkward. I got the classic with a side of fries and a drink. He got the bourbon burger with fried pickles and a drink. For two meals, we spent $40. (Reasonable in this day and age. But when the wall of rules asks you to be patient because everything is made to order, then it should be hot and fresh for that price.) it took 25 minutes to get our burgers. Again, for $40 and a rule about being patient, you would assume everything is hot and tastes fresh. 3 names were called before us, so if you’re in any type of a hurry, this is not fast food. The fried pickles and French fries were not hot. My fries were barely warm and quite flimsy. His fried pickles were grease covered and lukewarm. Our burgers, not hot either. They were so greasy though. You know when the grease makes your bottom bun soggy?! Like that, and the meat had no seasoning. We looked at each and realized we made a mistake coming here. Maybe it was the lack of hospitality and the inability to find a clean table that made it taste worse. We were astonished that people were still coming in. We did not get milkshakes because we have ice cream at home we keep forgetting about, but maybe that’s the good part to this spot. It’s claimed to be locally owned and operated, but the company is from Delaware. If you’re a local, eat real local. Shoot for Red Diamond across the street, Joanie’s Deli, or Judges. We had to give it a fair shot, but it has convinced us to stay away. Cheers...
Read moreAll I can say is this was my first time and it was mediocre. I ordered online which would have been convenient had they gotten the order right. I then had to go back in and get the order corrected. They were nice about it, but it just took time away from my life as we live an hour away. We got the steakhouse burger, Buffalo chicken strips, fries, onion rings and an impossible burger. The "salty" fries, were not salty and very mushy. It was like chewing mashed potatoes... just weird and bland. The chicken strips were okish. The breading had ok flavor and texture, the meat inside was not over cooked. The sauce was only on part of the strips. The impossible burger was an impossible burger, not waybacks fault, but nothing to brag about. The steakhouse burger had a small blob of A1 sauce, and the "crispy" onions. It is supposed to have cheese, but I ordered without because I cannot eat dairy without severe reaction to it. The crispy onions were like chewing tough plastic, I had to look at it to make sure.... then took them off the sandwich. The meat is just like smash burgers.... nothing spectacular. I'm not even certain where the thin falling apart burger idea came from, but it would have been laughed at back in the 50's and 60's. Wayback when you could get a burger with real meat on the bun. An inch or more thick after cooking. Of course these days it would cost 50 bucks for a burger like you got in the wayback days. Now you get the left overs. I'm sorry but this place just could not win me over, but there are many many people out there who just love what places like this...
