I read the reviews, and I have to call out O Wilde for his horrendous review.
Let me start off by saying, I grew up in restaurant, I worked the line for many years, and as you can tell from my reviews i know food.
Starting off with the Wilde review, I had the great honor of trying the steak, and if you can find me a better seasoned steak, or a steak that was cooked with such love and attention to the cook time I’ll shut it. I feel that strongly about it, truly an amazing treat.
Now, my order was the Patty Melt creation that blew me away from first bite to last. Texture was perfect, the cook was the ideal medium/medium rare. The spread of bacon and red onion was divine. The brief char to the white bread absolutely complimented the meat, cheese and bacon creation.
“Fries are easy to make” Bull hockey. The fries that were served to me were just as the good lord intended; crisp out side, great color, and a fluffy center. The bottom of my dish had a good amount of oil on the bottom to show how fresh and well timed the whole order was.
I was also granted a a taste into the jerky butter, 10/10 get this on anything and you’ll be happy.
Onto desert. When hod spoke to Noah, he commanded two of every animal to depart the desert into a vessel. Just like Noah, I got two of each desserts to depart (Togo) in my vessel.
The Oreo dessert was so dang good I wasn’t even hungry after the generous portions of the previously reviewed patty melt. However, I had to have a bite. And that bite turned into a 5 minute munch fest. Still warm, this desert was the Kobe Bryant of deserts, in that not only was it the best of all time, but I crashed hard on the couch after it was gone.
The “tiny” cookie made my inner child cry and laugh in one delicious bite. My father was a baker and he made the best cookies. This one rivaled it. So good.
The berries pie with butterscotch….I don’t have the words. I believe firmly that if the pope ate this, he would give Caleb and his crew sainthood, cause it’s the closest thing to a miracle you’re going to find.
My biggest regret is in about 10 hours all these things are going to...
Read moreStopped here completely on a whim and—WOW—consider me officially, over-the-top surprised in the best way possible!!
We kicked things off with calamari and trout chowder, and it was love at first bite. The calamari was perfectly fresh and crispy, served with halved cherry tomatoes and pickled onions—an unexpected combo that added a bright crunch and a little tangy twist I didn’t know I needed in my life. Then came the trout chowder… oh my goodness. Creamy, flavorful, and paired with fried saltine crackers that literally melted in your mouth like butter. I could have stopped there and been thrilled, but nope—we were just getting started.
For mains, my husband went with the kimchi Reuben and I chose the pot roast French dip, while our little one happily tucked into the kids’ mac n’ cheese. The Reuben? Life-changing. I’m not exaggerating when I say this sandwich has officially reset the standard for every Reuben we’ll ever eat. The balance of pastrami and crunchy kimchi spice was absolute perfection—enough that we’re already planning a return trip just for that sandwich. The French dip was rich and indulgent, with gooey cheese and a jus that had this rosemary kick at the end that made it irresistible. And the mac? Totally homemade, creamy, and exactly what every kid (and adult sneaking bites) dreams about.
We left with happy bellies, huge smiles, and a new go-to spot on our foodie map. This place is...
Read moreA true gem!!! Great experience all around. Caleb was awesome, a true machine! He was seating customers, taking orders, wiping down tables, checking customers out, making drinks, bringing the orders out while keeping a cool chill demeanor , it was very impressive! As for the food, WOWWEE!!!! Owner/Chef James, you exceeded our expectations and beyond. Food was perfectly balanced, the flavors, the textures were on point and we loved that it was seasoned just right and food was not greasy either. I enjoyed the layering of the foods in the dishes and the flavors just came together! Very well executed!! Definitely will be coming down here again from Colorado Springs! Can't forget the black walnut old-fashioned, it was perfectly balanced, not to sweet and not overpowering on the bourbon.... Haven't had a delicious old fashioned like this in a long time! Loved the diamond shaped ice cube in it!! Keep up the fantastic job! We missed out on the boiled peanuts as they had run out (pretty popular snack they serve), but we look forward to going back there to try them out. I definitely recommend this hidden gem to anyone who lives in, is visiting, or passing by...
