Rude manager , I feel traumatized URGENT îŁ Hey there,
My friends and I recently visited the Applebee's Grill + Bar restaurant at 632 Park Ave, Worcester, MA 01603 on Thursday, Aug 5th 2021. We arrived at about 9:45pm est. I have enclosed a copy of my receipt for your reference.
We have ordered food online five times within the past year which has been great. However, our experience on Thursday was nightmare. I was abused by the manager herself. She showed me attitude , showing here back side ( resembling as I should lick it). I feel traumatized , I feel like I would go would therapy after this. I'm already a patient of anxiety and panic disorder.
I would describe what happened :
She gave me a watery cranberry juice despite of me asking for a less ice one. When I said this to another server she said "No worries , I can get you another one". Then the manager lady said "No its was no /less ice ". I ended up getting nothing. Which was also fine She gave us bill. We gave credit card she didn't come for 20 mins. All she was doing was Chit chatting with couple of people , I called her as well she didn't listen to me. She was also Eating something over the bar( without gloves) The same hand she used to serve, I guess. We were in hurry to book cab and take the boxes. Finally my friend had to go there say her to collect the bill. Then she came after sometime and I told her "We were waiting for 20 mins". ( Not trying to insult her) She came took her , we tipped , She didn't pick dishes . While we were still waiting for the cab she shouts from the bar "WHY YOU STILL HERE HA?"(VERY RUDELY), THEN MADE IT A scene , EVERYONE SAW IT , IT WAS SO embarrassing FOR ME. While we were still waiting for cab she chucked us out , while everyone else was eating and order even if they were closing. Showed me her back , insulted me so badly , made of fun of me.
â I don't know how to deal with this it was below standard behavior , she knew she was the boss as if she owned the whole thing. I'm just one customer telling you this. Cause it has caused me immense trauma and I'm in panic attack as of now. Please let me know if you can do anything. Was this worth the 90 dollars I spent...
Read moreI don't know why Applebee's has customers. The beef is dry and overly cooked, the burgers are big bread, wasteful and expensive, the fish dishes are scant and the rest of the menu is not much different than a list of MREs. the last two times we went there it was: "Sorry, we don't have that anymore, even if its still on the menu.", "We ran out. I'm awfully sorry.", "Oh, you wanted that? I thought you wanted this." The managers, not their faults, had to take the heat for all the failures; They must go through management personnel like water through a sieve. Its noisy, overly and multiply themed. Has a bar larger than the seating capacity of the restaurant with Sports TV blasting from a dozen screens and kids running amok all over the place. The wait staff are overly stressed and I cannot figure for the life of me what is going on in a kitchen where I know everything is pretty much prepared beforehand and all one has to do is punch a few microwave buttons and serve off a steam table. Good grief! Last time was such a fiasco we just got up, apologized for our abruptness, and left the poor woman wait person with tears streaming down her face. All I said was: "Its not your fault. This place has no idea what its doing and if I were you I'd get out while I still could. Here's my card." (I got her a job the next week as a file clerk in an insurance office with better pay, better hours and less crap. She's happier.) I only speak for my own experience. I don't...
Read moreFood was good. I went here with my husband and a bunch of my his co-workers. All of the waiters and waitresses were absolutely wonderful, minus the one waitress that wore a choker. She asked us if we were ready for our trays to be taken, to which I responded yes and nodded my head and started leaning out of the way for her to pick it up. There was a pause, and then she proceeded to say to me specifically: "Welcome to Earth" and asked again if she could take the tray to which I again responded yes and nodded my head. And then she asked me to hand her the tray and in the midst of my confusion over the Earth comment my friend helped me pass the tray to her (it was right in front of me and not at the other side of the table or anything, so entirely reachable by the waitress). I have no problem handing a tray to help but to say something like that because you expected me to hand you the tray when 99.999999% of the time as long as it's reachable it's the waiter/waitresses job? I'm not sure what could possibly warrant such a rude comment. All of us were respectable during our time there. It sounded like a comment that one would say to a drunk person (not that it should be said regardless), but the fact of the matter is I did not have a single drink (I am pregnant), so I was well aware of everything going on. Our designated waitress was so kind and wonderful, by the way, so if you happen to be reading this, please know this is...
