EDIT: After speaking with someone from Ruth's Chris, we were given another chance to come and eat at the restaurant. This time ended up being much better, and made up for the experience that we initially had. I am updating to 4 stars as I still think that the potatoes au gratin and truffle crust should be either tweaked or removed from the menu. I decided to get the bone in ribeye with a caesar salad, and my wife got the filet and the ravioli. We both loved our meals, and had a much better experience. Without the truffle crust, I was actually able to taste the steak and appreciate the quality of meat and the cook. The seasoning was perfect and as always, the ravioli were amazing. Overall, I think this restaurant has amazing potential, but there are a few small pitstops in the menu. Please don't let those ruin your experience like I initially did.
I wanted so much to like this place, but felt let down after eating here tonight. My wife and I came to celebrate my birthday and while there were some good aspects of the meal, the overall experience left me feeling let down and unsatisfied. The service and atmosphere were both fine. My wife got a Caesar salad which we both tasted and enjoyed. We also had the veal osso bucco ravioli, which I will say were excellent. The sauce was perfect and if the whole meal was like those ravioli, I would be much happier. My wife ordered the filet and shrimp which she enjoyed. Her mashed potatoes were also good. I ordered the ribeye with truffle crust and potatoes au gratin. This is where my problems lie. Potatoes au gratin must mean something different here because instead of thinly sliced potatoes in a cheesy beschamel sauce, I received cubed potatoes smothered in cheese. They were clearly put under a broiler which caused the fat from the cheese to separate out, and left the potatoes soaking in oil. Once the cheese solidified they were inedible. The ribeye might have been good, but the truffle crust ruined the steak honestly. It came out as a soggy mush of breadcrumbs on the steak. Unfortunately I couldn't taste the steak through the fake truffle oil. Besides paying 7 dollars extra to ruin a 66 dollar steak, I just feel let down that I fell for the marketing of this place. For the price we paid for this dinner, I expect every detail to be on point, and unfortunately it was not. The worst part is the guilt for not liking this food because of how much it is played up as a treat for special occasions. We will not be...
Read moreThis review is going to be short as there was not much to say good about my experience. My date and I were seated at the very back at a time in which there was ample seating closer to the center of the restaurant but I was there for the steak as I had heard about these restaurants in 2006 when I ate at Omaha Steaks restaurant in a Charlotte hotel for the 1st time also on a 1st date. I ordered the ribeye well done just over $70 and broccoli ($14) and what I received was a very charred, flavorless, greasy, fatty, steak. Had it not been for the charring you would have thought it was deep fried and had I known they don't season their steaks, & they're not dry aged I would have chosen another restaurant. I wish I could add a picture because I snapped a quick photo prior to eating it, believing the 1st bite experience was going to be amazing like at Omaha's making me immediately feel good about paying $50 for just the steak at that time, but it was exactly the opposite. I felt like I have routinely eaten better stove top cooked steaks at home by far and for $70 it was an experience I can truly be happy that this bill was at my dates expense, as she asked to take me out to a place of my choice...Next time maybe we'll hop a flight to Charlotte their steak is definitely worth it. I never stopped comparing there's to all other steaks I have eaten, it has truly helped me to cook steak much better. Oh, and I ordered it well done in both places but only 1 steak was charred, fatty, greasy, & flavorless. The bread was the best part of my meal and my date enjoyed her lamb chops. Neither of us ordered desert and the bill before tip was $176 the $20 tip made it $196. I felt bad that I didn’t enjoy it as my date spent a lot of money and I chose the restaurant, I'm hoping they were just having an off night but I'll never find out because for those prices I'd rather pay more knowing what I'll get will be great! Omaha Steaks we shall meat(Lol) again. Oh and you have to pay for parking, the garage was only $8 for...

First off, We eat out often and have been to numerous steak houses, and a variety of higher end restaurants. We arrived here for mothers day, and it started poorly. Upon seating, it was almost 20 minutes to obtain water and bread. After water arrived at the table, our drink order consisting of (2) cocktails arrived almost 15 minutes later. Our dinner order was subsequently placed and at this time our cocktails were just about empty. The empty glasses were placed at the end of the table. Our waitress although hustling never once in the two hours asked if we needed another cocktail or checked in. Dinners came out and my daughters side was missing, unfortunately our waitress was non existent and we had to speak with another staff member to advise of the missing side. The side took another 5-10 minutes to arrive. Our waitress was literally non existent for 20 minutes and finally arrived at the table clearing HALF our table AND the table next to ours leaving a tray stacked with dishes at the end of our table. After the dirty dishes remained literally 3 inches from our table for 15 minutes my wife was disgusted and mentioned it to another staff member. Shortly after, management arrived and quickly remedied the issue and comped some food. Our waitress was apparently spoken too and was extremely rude making a face at my wife snd daughter as we left. Overall the worst experience Ive ever had in a higher end restaurant. On the positive side, our food was excellent and management handled the situation promptly.
We were subsequently contacted by the manager Stephanie. She was fantastic and genuinely concerned about our visit. A few weeks later we received a gift card and A request to give them a second chance. We waited several months and re visited on 08/10/24. Our second visit was the polar opposite of our first. Our waitress Katie was personable, funny and fantastic. Our meal was incredible and overall we had a great time. We...
