Iām not the type of person to leave a negative review; Iām generally a positive person. But this one deserves it. Not sure whatās going on at this Subway, but itās always the same lady working up front. I donāt know if sheās the manager or just one of the employees stuck at the front counter, but sheās basically the face of the place⦠and not in a good way. Sometimes she has her kid just sitting behind the counter (some friends of mine have seen it too, so it has to be a usual occurrence). The first time I went, the restaurant was empty, yet she was still rushing me and my brother to the point where we couldnāt even get all the toppings we wanted. We greeted her with a smile and said hello, and she couldnāt return the gesture. Immediately, āWhat do you want?ā No āhello,ā no smile, no eye contact. Ultimately, she charged us extra and forgot parts of our order. That was less than a year ago, and I refused to order from there until recently. I thought maybe she had a bad day, so Iād give it another shot. The second time (about a month ago), this time my friend and I ordered through the app to avoid being rushed, and the same lady was there when my boyfriend picked up our order. She had him FaceTime me to see my ID because she didnāt trust it was his order, and she was showing him attitude, EVEN though he was complying. Mind you, my friend has ordered online and sent her husband or kids to pick up her order from this location plenty of times, yet the same lady never asked to see an ID with any of them. My friend got more pissed off than I did, implying that this employee is racist, so she picks and chooses who to act this way towards. Iāve only interacted with that employee face to face once, so Iām unsure about that part. Maybe it really is policy to see the ID, but it still doesnāt excuse her unnecessary attitude. And again, the same lady forgot some of our toppings. Yesterday, I ordered online again and had my boyfriend pick it up on his way home. And the same thing happened: the lady had him FaceTime me to see my ID while giving my boyfriend an attitude and rushing him, and she forgot two of my toppings. My boyfriend said she was in the middle of ordering Panera for her lunch, so I can understand if she was a bit hangry??? But itās no excuse. I work customer service and I would never treat someone like that at my job. I could be having the worst day, and I still treat customers with kindness, patience, and respect. The lady was ORDERING food; she wasnāt even on her lunch break yet. Why is it so hard to put a little more care into an order? Needless to say I wonāt be ordering from that location again. Itās closest to home but not even worth it, if THAT lady is working there. Iāll stick to the location in Evergreen Park instead. Staff are friendly over there and never mess up an order.
Edit after reading some more reviews: It seems like this lady has given plenty of people a hard time. Why is she still working there if she clearly has an issue with doing her job right? I walked in and the bell rings and the person behind the counter had their back facing me eating hot chips and watching netflix and i thought maybe she didnāt hear the bell so i didnāt want to scare her. when i got to the counter i said hello 3 times before she finally turns around and yells at me exclaiming she heard me the first time. then she confirms im here for the pickup and throws my sub over the counter. i really couldnāt believe this interaction i was left in shock. so much so that i came to see other reviews just to make sure i wasnāt going crazy. almost every review is about her terrible service and nothing is being done. i donāt know how sheās been able to do this for years. basically harass...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMe and my wife waited a prolong period of time just to get 2 sandwichs while no one else was in line. The manager, who we feel very bad for! Was obviously stressed. There selection was also half empty but after we finally payed and sat down, the manager and a worker got into a screaming match in back. We could clearly hear them, and they knew we could as well. Pans were flying and slamming and f-bombs were prolific! Eventually the manager manually clocked the worker out and she stormed off. We got an apology from the manager, but honestly we were fighting back laughter the whole time. The sandwichs were very good, and we got free entertainment! But would not come back honestly.
