EDIT: Owner's reply below is disingenuous and lacking accuracy and sincerity.
My reply is here.
If you want to start telling people the water to clean the dishes is making the eggs cost more, you're reaching, and I will tell my story to our locals. Even if nobody reads this, the market will decide if the product is worth it, just like Yardley Pizza.
"BTW this is our 50th year in business" - In Yardley?! You sure about that? I'm a local who grew up here, and you're stretching the truth. Mill-Lees has been open for maybe 10-15 years at most? Place has not been open since 1973. It was another diner with a different owner before this, and it was YARDLEY HARDWARE before that until 2001-ish.
The optics of out-of-town bored millionaires from out-of-state buying up available businesses in 19067, filling it with arbitrarily expensive offerings, and trying to lecture me over an honest and valid feedback of them raising their prices is not good. I'm convinced this conglomerate came into the area to break ground and raise prices. As a local who grew up here, I've come to the conclusion it's a pox on our simple town.
Everywhere else has a cheaper offering. Starbucks, Wawa, Pretty Bird is cheaper, and none of those places lecture their customers about "the water that cleans the spatulas". What a joke. The lecturing tone anti-social and repellent for the business. It sure made me confirm my choice of not going back. 👋 👋 👋
I'd think myself a sucker if I rewarded such disingenuousness and eagerness to raise prices with patronage.
I'll keep telling my story to locals about ANY overpriced establishments out-pricing the locals. And just like the short-term ownership of Yardley Pizza, the market will decide for you, and then you will decide if the price hikes were worth it.

I (used to) go for breakfast sandwiches.
Mill-Lees makes the best breakfast sandwich on Main Street, but it's the first breakfast sandwich I've seen to cost $10+, which is why I'm writing this review and not going back for now.
I can't find my old review where I was praising, it was 5/5. At the time I had 0 complaints and was very happy. They literally make the best breakfast sandwich on Main Street, It's good portions, good ingredients, consistently cooked, and they have a lot of nice people working there.
However, I will boycott until their sandwich become sane, again. Egg prices are already back down, and the sandwich is still $10+.
That same breakfast sandwich went from ~$6 to $10+ within half a year. A 60%+...
Read moreI’m not going to mention my opinion about this place. Just would like to describe the experience.
I walked in and several customers attempted to skip me in line although I was waiting for roughly 6 mins.
When I was sat at the table, I waited for 8 mins before anyone asked me about what I’d like to drink. I placed my drink and food order.
I was being stared at by both staff and customers for the entirety of the time that I was sitting at my table. I’m in very normal clothes and talking quietly on the phone as I was dining alone.
Midway through my meal, someone got sat at a table within my view and before he could scoot into the seat fully, he was asked what he would like to drink. His coffee was at his table within a minute.
The restaurant remained busy from the time I arrived until almost the end of my meal. By the time I was close to finishing, the restaurant slowed down.
I finished up and waited for 10 mins for my server to check on me so I could get a box and the check. Never happened. I got up and grabbed a box from the waiters stand and put away my food. I put on my coat, in hopes to have the server know that I’m ready to leave. I waited another 10 mins with no check in. I continuously looked at the staff hoping they would get the “hint”. I waited another 5 mins, tempted to just leave but instead I walked up to my server and asked for a check. I paid and did not tip.
Poor service does not equal tip. Even bare minimum service, I would’ve tipped the bill. And good service I would’ve tipped 150%. I’m only paying for one meal so I like to hook the waiter up.
One star just because the food was decent. No stars if based solely on my...
Read more2021 review: We sat down without a wait on a Sat 10am and it says a busy restaurant. We all liked our meals. I had the lox and onion omelet with homefries & rye toast. We also had cream chipped beef on toast, Santa fe breakfast wrap, and pumpkin pancakes. My husband enjoyed the soft chewy pumpkin pancakes, I on the other hand did not like the gummy texture of the pancakes and lack of flavor. The coffee was brewed very weak and was tasteless. Oh well on the coffee, but I'm a coffee bug. I will satisfy my coffee needs down the street at the coffee restaurant. Liked it here, we'll be back. May 2024 update: empty restaurant 9:30am Sat. Their coffee is still not my favorite but at least they are brewing the bitter grounds more strongly. I had the new bubba Benedict which was supposed to be eye round steak on the Benedict. What came was two perfectly coddled eggs on top a small slice of thin cut steak umm. I was a bit disappointed because I thought I was going to be getting some chunks of eye round steak potentially medium rare. I guess I should have asked my server about this new dish. My husband got the cream dried beef and liked the amount of beef in the dish, thought it lacked flavor and could use some brown butter and a bit of garlic powder to round out the flavor depth. Update Aug 2024- the renovations are done, but the restaurant is so noisy we can't have a conversation. Suggest some noise...
