Heard from Country Inn and Suites guest that Bubba D's food was excellent despite run down interior ( school bus yellow with forest green trim and run down booths. They deliver, but we wanted a restaurant experience. Our waitress( Server) was the only one in the dining room. Was the location a pizza hut many moons ago?
When we heard that there was no diet Pepsi, lemons for still water, and the horrid state of the booths, we became a bit leery But we were starving....
My son ordered bacon cheese on french fries and a six inch Philly Cheese steak. His partner ordered plain fries and a crunchy chicken wrap, my hubby ordered a six inch stromboli, and as a Buffalo NY native, ordered 6 chicken wings and an Italian wrap. The stromboli was very good, my son ate the entire Philly cheese steak proclaiming it was the best warm sub that he ever had and chose to doggy bag the tasty looking covered fries were boxed up for the next morning's breakfast. His partner loved her crunchy wrap and shared her fries. My hubby ate most of his delicious stromboli and I was amazed by the plump meaty chicken wings covered in Bubba's mild sauce. BTW, there was several options for the style of the wings- fried, broiled and boneless with many options. As a born and bred Cheektowagan ( close suburb of Buffalo,NY, I can truly say that these wings and blue cheese were excellent!!! Compliments to the kitchen. Despite being famished due to no breakfast and a snack, I was full after eating the six wings. My Italian wrap was boxed for tomorrow's lunch. Excellent food at a nice price. They also deliver. Our waitress was super! If you are an out of towner and staying at a nearby hotel/motel off of 1-83 and hate the color of French's mustard, call for delivery.. if you want to dine in, please don't walk out quickly due to the worn and tired decor!! The restaurant may or may not have been a Pizza Hut in a past life. The only thing lacking was that decor and the ability to order a pitcher or glass of beer. There was a sign on a window stating BYOB. I will grab a bite ( Chicken wings or pizza) every time that I am York. If the decor was updated and a liquor license obtained, this would surely deserve 5+ stars. If you are a York native that has not dined here, you are missing out. Give...
Read moreSo I really used to love this place... I will most likely be done now. Most of the time they are spot on with service and food. This time though.... by far the worst experience I have ever had with with any restaurant in my life. I ordered a pizza and fry for delivery at 5:31pm came out to 18 dollars and some change. Around 5:55pm pizza delivery guy came. Paid him 22 dollars told him to keep the change and went inside to see I received the wrong pizza. Called them right away and didn't talk to them till 6:03pm (I got put on hold so they must of been busy.) I then proceeded to explain the error. They told me no problem and they will send me the correct order. 5 mins later they call me and tell me they want to other pizza back. I said that was fine because I didn't want it anyway. It took till 7:08pm till they showed back up at my door... said he was sorry and we switched pizzas. I asked the delivery guy to have the manager call me. I wrote my name and number on the back of the original receipt with my name. No contact at all... I called in 3 times and no luck getting through to the manager.... as someone who deals with customers and is in business I have seen a lot of people act unprofessional. But this takes the cake. I would take you business elsewhere. I can understand it being a busy night. I know people make mistakes. If this was my business I would of called the customer with the personal phone and talked to them no matter...
Read moreYears ago before moving south I ordered here all the time when working in Dallastown. Told all nurses I oriented if they want to order out that their food is good. Haven’t eaten there since I moved back. Last week I ordered a cheesesteak with marinara and wings. Loved the cheesesteak. Wings were crispy but a little overcooked so dry. Today I called to order a cheesesteak for dinner and decided to get 2 so I would have lunch for tomorrow. I told the girl taking my order I wanted sauce 3 times. I get home and opened my cheesesteak and no sauce on either. I called and spoke to Jen the manager and she said I could drive back 20 minutes one way or more during rush hour traffic to get new subs. Been up since 430 and worked 10 hours so no I’m not driving back. Basically told me I could come and get new subs or the sauce. I said someone can deliver the right subs to me and she said you’re not n our delivery area. Exactly! I live too far to deliver to but I’m suppose to drive back to you to remedy your mistake. I wanted a refund or new subs when I was in the area. She said she can’t do that so I said well you just lost a customer. She didn’t seem concerned about it and argued with me. They lost a customer and word of mouth advertising over $20. They screwed up my order then wanted me to drive back to their store. No thanks! Poor customer service and I...
