I'm not one to leave poor reviews, but unfortunately I must do so in this case. When Derby opened a few years ago, we had high hopes; praised them publicly as well as to friends. They had some issues but we looked passed that. Then they abruptly closed with no notice. Months later they re-opened and we were excited. However management of the business is horrible. For the third time we drove there after verifying their hours and no special event only to find the doors locked. No sign, no social media postings as to being closed. Staff at Stone Grill are clueless about Derby Reserve or what goes on there. Such a shame, this place is/could be a higher class destination in York. I hate to think this but perhaps the local rumors that it is just a money laundering/right-off rather than an actual business...

Read moreWe had a reservation for 15. Were put outside in a non-air-conditioned "garage" type setting. There was a 60th birthday being held and we were super close to their party. I felt like we were intruding.
It started to downpour. The garage doors were closed and it became sweltering hot. Two people in our party became over heated and had to leave early.
The server was really good and efficient, she made suggestions and was quick with getting drinks and apps out.
