I wanted to treat my lady and her coworkers to some breakfast donts and bagels and I heard this spot was rhe best in town. I stopped in to ask about placing a big order for early morning pick up. Initially, the lady seemed a bit surprised at my line of questioning but another worker helped her out, provided me with a menu and updated pricing. So far so good. Later in the day, I came in to place the order for a 730am pick up. Simple order: bakers dozen donuts with a few specifics and a half dozen bagels with cream cheese and jam. When I arrived this morning at exactly 730am, my.order was only half complete. The order form was taped to the top of the donut box, so its almost impossible to mess up the order. BUT, there were no bagels!!! I asked where the bagels were, and a very rude worker barked out that the bagels were not done because they were not specified: meanwhile, it clearly states it in the order form, and my name and phone number were there as well. The person who took the order didn't offer specifics for the bagels, so my assumption was that they would be plain bagels. That was my mistake. I assumed the people working would provide that type of information if it was a requirement. Since it was not, and I was not contacted by the staff at all, they decided to just not complete my order, which I had already paid for. Another mistake on my part. I'll never again pay for service in advance. My last is on the clock, and we had to wait almost 15 minutes for them to find out that they were actually out of bagels, amd ended up giving my frozen cinnamon bagels that had to be quick thawed and prepared. Im ok with a simple mistake being made, but as a business, you have to be accountable for those types of mistakes, you dont put the ownership on the customer, you dont yell at coworkers and BTW she was quite rude to other customers as we waited. If you're having a bad day, dont work the counter. Her attitude alone will make me never spend money here again. And its a shame because the donuts are better that any place I've ever been. If you go here, make sure you order perfectly and dont pay before your order...
Read moreThe location in west York that we have been to the people are always friendly. I went to this location today with my son to pick up a few donut holes and the woman at the register was very rude. When I told her I wanted to order a few donut holes, she said that would be fine. They only had the regular glazed holes connected in a group of 4 and the other flavors they had single holes. I was trying to order 1 of the glazed connected 4 holes and 2 chocolate holes and she just started putting all different kinds in the bag. When I said âI just wanted the glazed and chocolate she acted frustrated and huffy. I said âclearly I am not communicating wellâ and she didnât bother to turn around to clarify my order and acted irritated. We walked out. I will never return. Today is my birthday and my son and I were going to enjoy some donut holes on my birthday.... not now. I will not return to maple donuts because of the rude staff I encountered at...
