Poor service - as usual. This location is close to home - so we want to like it and have it as a convenient option. We go about once a year - and this visit reaffirmed we wont be back for a while. The staff are all pleasant and friendly. Party of 4 - checked in on Yelp where the wait was 15-30 minutes. Arrived at the restaraunt about 12 minutes later and were told it would be 15 to 20 minutes. Actual wait was about 15. Not sure why we checked in on Yelp though. First round of drinks took a while to come - nothing extreme, but a bit longer than it seemed like it should. 2 beers, a mixed drink and a soda. We ordered mozzarella wedges as an appitizer, two orders of wings, a cheeseburger, and a steak sandwhich. Wings hit the table first. About 5 minutes later the 2 sandwiches showed up. Only got the appetizer at all because we asked the runner with the sandwhiches where it was. Food was OK - nothing exciting. Wings were warm (our fault for waiting for the rest of the food to come) and not crispy at all, sandwhiches were palatable. Waitress checked on us right after the appetizer came. We ordered 1 additional beer. That's the last time any staff visited us until after we were done with the meal. As our waitress flew past the table my wife flagged her down - as she grabbed some of the empty dishes she remembered the beer - which we declined as we were now ready to leave though thirsty. My wife asked for a box and a refill on the soda and the waitress flew off. No offer of a second box for the other half sandwhich left on the table. When the box and soda came - presumably for my wife's half sandwhich - it was large enough that it could have held everything we had ordered. Literally 9x13. For a half sandwhich. When the waitress brought the check several minutes later she also brought 2 $5 gift cards. And she wasn't at the table long enough to ask for a second box. There was no verbal acknowledgement that the visit had been less than good, and no one at the table complained in any way beyond declining the beer that was ordered but never delivered. Late appetizer, entrees not delivered together, entire table with empty glasses for 3/4 of the meal, and 1 ridiculous box when we would have liked 2 small boxes. Throw in those 2 gift cards and we walked away feeling like this was the norm and the gift cards were built into the price. To be fair - we've had similar experiences in the past - which is why we are not here often. So maybe it is the norm. Those gift cards will probably expire before being used. Update 11/26/2019 - Below you will see a comment asking me to email a link to this review to customerfeedback. The local head coach Jason reached out with an apology email and an offer of addition gift cards 2 days after I emailed. Happy to see they are paying attention to customer concerns and trying to address them timely.

The food here is good for what it is. As one of the only places open in York, PA on Easter Sunday, it wasn't my first pick for restaurants to grab lunch. I'm glad we did dine here though. Patrons are greeted with an upscale sports bar environment and very pleasant and friendly wait staff. We weren't the only ones looking for a restaurant to eat at on a holiday when most restaurants are closed. There's plenty of seating for small groups to spend time with one another and a centrally located bar to mingle. Now the food. The menu options are limited. Sandwiches and burgers are evidently their thing. I ordered the extra sized sirloin steak sandwich and asked them to put the fries (that they normally put on the sandwich) on the side instead. Although I couldn't see any evidence that the extra sized resulted in more meat, the sandwich was good and the steak was well cooked. Fries were also very tasty.

This was my third visit to Primanti Bro. York pa This visit had the Half pound, handcrafted Cheeseburger with everything and provolone it was good The Great: Absolutely a great place to watch any type of sporting events. Screens are available from all angles and a large bar with ample seating. Was there for the Philadelphia Eagles championship victory. Children are welcome The Good: Always had great and friendly service Quick to seat even when packed Burgers are decent although I’m not into the gigantic type of burgers, but tried the Pitts-burger it was pretty good and decently portioned; worth the money. Wings are pretty good too free blue cheese, ranch or celery Pizza is good! very good portions The Middle Fries are not seasoned and bland but a little salt and they are dang good!!! The Bad: The coleslaw was horrible!!!!

We've been frequenting this restaurant for years, but after today, we won't be back. My wife and I stopped for a late lunch and the restaurant wasn't busy - maybe 8-10 tables with at least three servers. Our server stopped by our table, introduced himself and took our drink order. He delivered our drinks and took our order. He refilled our drinks and shortly thereafter the kitchen delivered our food. When placing our order, I had asked for a side of mayo along with my food. The mayo wasn't with my food, but no problem - I'll get it from my server. Over ten minutes went by with no visit from our server. We watched him conversing with the bartender, texting on his phone at the bar, disappearing into the kitchen for a bit and back to leaning on the bar texting on his phone again.

When he finally came to our table our drinks had been empty for several minutes, and no one had followed up to check on our meals. I asked him what his opening line "I'll be talking care of you today" meant? He asked what I meant. I went over with him what had transpired since we had received our food and his response concerning the missing mayo was it wasn't his fault. Not checking up on our table? They're not required to check up on tables until five minutes have passed - we were well past ten minutes at this time. I told him we watched him texting at the bar twice and chatting with the bartender while we needed things. Again, not his problem. He asked if we wanted to see the manager to which we replied that we would.

Well, this was a joke. We were met with someone who obviously didn't want to deal with this so he quickly offered a half hearted apology and said he'd comp us one of our meals just so he could disappear from our table. In the past this location had a manager who was active on the restaurant floor following up his servers and checking on his customers. This guy is just collecting a paycheck.

We won't be back to the York location after today's experience which is a shame because the food was excellent, but we're not willing to take another chance on the awful service and management that currently exists at this location. There are way too many options out there to be...

Stopped in on a Thursday night. 8pm. There was a pretty good crowd and the place had a good feel. And then it went down hill.

We were ignored at the front door for a while by a manager who seemed more interested in his phone. A waitress finally can't up and ask if we wanted a table.

Once sat it took forever to get drinks. Our waitress was the only one and she was clearly weeded. The manager stood near the front door looking at his phone.

To be honest it did not take too long to get our food after we ordered. And would you believe it? The manager had actually put down his phone and ran the food. When he set the OG Reuben down in front of me I could see that the Swiss cheese was not melted,as it looked like it had just been pulled from the package. I reached out and touched the sandwich and it was cold. I asked the manager (I admit kind of sarcastically) if it's supposed to be cold. He said, "yup" and walked away.

The sandwich was clearly put together and or made but was never put in the oven. Even the French fries were cold. When the waitress finally came back to our table she apologized and took it off the check. She offered to get me something else but by that time we were done. Thanked her and moved on.

My question is this.... That manager knew the sandwich was wrong and so did the like cook but they made the decision to serve it anyway. What else are they compromising?

The waitress did her best and truly seemed to care. Not so much...
