MOD Pizza — Restaurant in York Township

Thought we would check out the new pizza place in town. We needed to grab some food to take home with us. The person at the counter greeted us and explained how everything works (basically you pay a flat rate for the pizza no matter how many toppings). Pizzas were a little pricey but not too bad. We designed our pizzas and paid for a our food. Everything was going well and I was thinking about what I would order on the next trip. Then it all went down hill. The person working the oven was getting overwhelmed and asked for help. The person who came to help him actually made matters worse. we had ordered two pizzas plus cinnamon sticks. We got our first pizza no problem. Then we waited, and waited, and then waited some more. I saw our second pizza come out, but it just sat there. Finally he called our name and someone else's to get our pizzas. When you get your pizza you can ask them to put a sauce on it. My wife asked for the Balsamic. He grabbed the sauce and put it on a pizza. Unfortunately it wasn't ours. It was the other woman's who obviously did not want balsamic on hers. She sat there staring at it for some time, probably deciding if she wan't to risk asking them to make it again and having to wait some more time. Eventually she walked off with it. But, we still did not get our pizza. He went on to hand out others, never finishing ours. After about another 5 minutes we got our pizza. All good, right. Nope, still need the cinnamon sticks. Finally our cinnamon sticks come out of the oven along with someone else's order of them. You get a choice of dipping sauce with them, we choose chocolate and the other person get cinnamon. They didn't have any cinnamon dipping cups set up so they needed to get some. Despite the fact that they had chocolate cups ready, they couldn't give us our cinnamon sticks. Again, we sat there waiting for our food. (The entire time holding our other pizzas in our hand). Finally, once they solved the problem of no cinnamon sauce, we got our cinnamon sticks and were able to leave. Total time from being given first pizza to leaving was at least 20 minutes, and that is probably being very generous to them. Bottom line, do yourself a favor and go to one of the many great local pizza joints. Our favorite is John's Pizza which is just down the street. (The only reason ?I gave this two stars was the front counter person was very nice and was good...

It had been a little while since we had been to this Mod location. The last time it was a little odd as the workers all seemed to be disinterested in their jobs, the people or the way they made the food.

What a wonderful experience my husband and I had on Tuesday, 4/15/205. "Noah" was the young gentleman that took our order and made our Mod size Pizza and Mod Size Salad.

He did not rush us, and seemed to take pride in his work, being detail oriented to make sure the toppings were not just "slopped" on as we previously experienced. The other gentleman there that night that may have been a shift manager was also very kind and acted in a professional manner as opposed to "kids" running the place.

The environment had a positive vibe but I just think that Noah's family did a remarkable job in raising him and I hope the Mod family appreciates this fine your man representing something as simple as pizza and salad. He made a difference to both me...

First time I have ever eatin inside a Mod Pizza. Love it. It has an industrial feel. And the pizza was amazing. We have always picked up our pizza. It was clean, fun atmosphere, the soda station was clean. And I like the fact you separate your trash into composting, recycling and trash. We loved the fact we pay $7.77 and we get unlimited toppings. And they have a ton to choose from. They have a seasonal pizza of course offered for a limited time. We got the Maddy, and added spinach, fig glaze, onion, mushroom, chicken, olives, fresh rosemary, and so much more. They offer sofa, two types of ice teas. Lemonades to drink. The pizza are wood fired and I like the fact they don't use heavy oils to cook them. They also offer salads, milk shakes and floats.
