I visited Ferrante's in the greater York area, drawn by its positive reviews. The 25-minute drive was worth it if the food was great, but unfortunately, it fell short. The phone ordering experience was smooth, and the staff greeted me promptly upon arrival. I ordered a 14" margherita pizza, eggplant sub, and fettuccini alfredo with a side salad and garlic bread. The margherita pizza was the highlight, with a well-baked bottom and sufficient mozzarella. However, the sauce lacked balance and flavor, and the crust could've been crisper. The eggplant sub had plenty of mozzarella but lacked eggplant. The fettuccini alfredo was a major disappointment – it lacked parmesan flavor and was essentially inedible. We threw away most of it, wasting $16. The garlic bread tasted more like buttered bread, and the side salad's blood orange dressing was good but overshadowed by jarred sweet peppers and vast amount of iceberg lettuce. Overall, our meal felt short in several areas. Given my first experience was underwhelming, I don't think I'll be returning. Maybe I'll try a slice of cheese if I'm in the area, but for now, I'd pass.

Terrible late delivery. Do not order. Was not given honest updates each of the 3 times I had to call. Update to owner: I ordered at 620, my food was promised at 7. I called at 630 because I had not received any email confirmation as it said I would. The person that answered said they had my order and I asked would it be ready for 7 and was told yes. I called at 713 and was told it was out for delivery at that time. How was my food delivered at 7.26 if I literally was speaking to you at 727? (See screenshot below). At 727 I was being told it would be 5 more minutes. The food was finally delivered at 735 which was more than 5 minutes later from when we spoke and was also 35 minutes after my food was promised. I still ever received a confirmation email of the order, or any updates about it being any later than 7. I can totally understand delays, being busy, etc. but none of that was ever shared with me over my multiples calls until I posted this review, and we even spoke with a manager at one point. The customer service level now is great but it would have been more helpful when the order was occurring.

What a lovely little local pizza shop. My wife and I have been searching for a reliable neighborhood spot for good pizza, and I think we’ve finally found it. The pizza is classic New York style and tastes fantastic. The dough is fresh and flavorful, the sauce has just the right amount of tang, and the mozzarella they’re using is the real deal. Just great pizza all around. My wife ordered the bruschetta, and it came out looking incredible. She said it tasted just as good as it looked. We’re already planning to come back and try some of the pasta dishes on the menu. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. The decor is a little lacking in some areas, it seems like they’re going for a theme, but it’s not totally clear what that is. That’s me being picky, though, because everything else was fantastic. Prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. We’ll absolutely be back.
