Well they changed there hours from closing at 3pm to 2pm which I didnt know. Upon arrival the waitress opened the entrance door as we were getting out of our vehicle and proceeded to tell us they were closing in 10 mins. So I ask if we could still order and eat inside. She said OH YES so we came in. Then the waitress told us after she gave us the menu n we were seated that they could not make the chicken because it was to close to closing. Si I asked what can we order . She said anything on the menu. Broasted chicken is on the menu but we couldn't order it...that's was ok so we ordered a burger n salad. We had finished eating about 3/4 of our food n she came back n said here are some take out boxes u need to use because we are closed. We were there about 15 mins at that time trying too eat fast. But that was rude. I told her I was not going to put my salad which was 3/4 eaten in a box n go. She went back n I could here her talking to her boss. Who said well let the dish washer finishe up with them n take there payment. We finished our meal after we paid in advance in about 5 mins more n left. This was very rude of them to treat a return customer like this. They could have said when we were in the parking lot n the waitress told us it was fine to come in n eat that we would have to make it to go n not eat in. I ask her that before we came in n she said it was fine or we would have went elsewhere. So guests beware the owner tells his staff to do rude things to guests if they want to close regardless if they have paying customers or not....
Read moreI’ve been eating breakfast at your restaurant (also at the Washtenaw location) for at least 10 years twice weekly and it’s time to find a different place to spend my money. I came in as always at my regular time (so that I get the special pricing for breakfast) and decided to choose a booth that was out of the direct sunlight. That particular booth still had dishes from a previous customer, but I sat down anyway. The waitperson walks up and says “there was money left on the table…did you take it?” I immediately said “absolutely not!”, to which she said “don’t sit at a table that hasn’t been cleared off!” I told her that I didn’t steal her tip and if she’d like me to leave, I will. She said “no, don’t leave.” I ate my regular breakfast and when the check arrived it was not reflective of the early bird discount. When I got ready to leave, I personally handed her my tip and said “I want to make sure you get this tip.” When you regularly spend over a thousand dollars a year at an establishment you don’t need to leave feeling like a criminal. Read morePlaced my order, I was told it would be 10 minutes. I showed up after 15 minutes, and paid for my order. Stood there for ten minutes before watching the woman bagging my order forget an item. So I reminded her, and she put it in the bag. Then she came over and told me that I was "lucky" that someone else rang me up because I had gotten the rice for free and then said "they didn't do that". So I asked her," What don't you do..." I had ordered potatoes and rice. So she wanted to charge me for the rice. I then asked if the dinner came with 2 sides. (Yes) But she demanded that they not be both potatoes and rice. (Which I only got because their soup and vegetable options were terrible) One, the menu clearly just says you get 2 sides and lists the options. Two, the woman who took my order and who rang me up said absolutely nothing about what this woman was saying. So obviously in a case where the server who almost forgot part of my food, and had to be reminded by the customer to do her job, telling me this (which is directly contradicted by the menu) in such a snotty tone means I will never return.
