Our server was nice. Bathroom smelled disgusting and looked dirty/dingy. Food was under par for buffets, it was overcooked and under seasoned. My Mother in law was eating a piece of mushroom when she spat it out on a napkin, she spat out the mushroom and something burnt. It was round and had a line coming from it, I don’t wanna imply anything but it looked like a bug possibly. She said it had a Crunch… GROSS. We asked the first person we saw if we could speak to a manager. The person who helped us was named HECTOR. HECTOR had a really rude tone when addressing us and made us feel like our concerns weren’t valid He then took the napkin which had the mushroom and thing on it and disappeared for about 4 minutes. My mom went to see if there was a different “manager” to talk to, somebody who might’ve actually had concern for their customers. As she’s asking for someone else, HECTOR came back. HECTOR continued to be rude, so my mom got rude back with him. They went back and forth until she asked me and my family if Hector was being rude. I stepped in and said yeah and started to confront him. I told him if he is unhappy working at the restaurant, he shouldn’t work there. I also told him he had a rude tone and that’s when he started getting combative with me and raising his voice. I didn’t raise my voice but I did have a firm tone with HECTOR like he should’ve had with us instead of being emotional and raising his voice. I understand my mom was raising her voice a little bit that does not give HECTOR any right to raise his voice especially when customers are giving you valid complaints. I think he really needs to think before he speaks or reacts...

Wife found the restrooms to be absolutely disgusting but she had to go as she's pregnant. There is at least a 4-day old posting (as of this posting) that the restrooms were gross. Should be enough time to fix the problem. (If they actually take feedback seriously)
And as you know, the cleanliness of the restrooms is usually a reflection of the cleanliness of the kitchen.
My mom did work in cleaning industry before and she pointed out residue on the dishes after they were "washed"
Personally I think the manager must be mean or tough on the employees since they all seemed to be in a bad mood starting from the host to the server. Only the cooks restocking food seemed to be in a good mood. They never once came to pick up plates. They never once came to offer refills. The one time I did stop a worker for a refill and to pick up plates she made a face like I just spit in her face or insulted her.
We came in because my parents were visiting from out of town and they love going to EATS which is closer to the Wal-Mart. Since I hear how popular Lin's is locally, I recommended it.
My dad's comments were that the food was a lot less tastier and there was a lot less options (to which we all agree). They charged us four drinks and only ever served us 3..
I think we're gonna stick to EATS. Not only is there more attentive staff; it'scleaner, tastier, they're more responsive and its actually a teeny...
Read moreThis was my second visit to Lins; the first was during the pandemic and was really bad, but it was pretty much a bad time for everyone, so thought I’d give it another try as my usual buffet in town (Eats) doesn’t have black pepper chicken and I was craving some, so I’ll generally be comparing the two. The sushi here lagged far behind as it only had four very basic choices versus the 12 or so I can get at Eats, and Eats also has a shrimp tempura roll, which is one of my favorites. Neither location carries nigiri during weekday lunch. The hot foods were generally better than my first visit. The broccoli in the beef/chicken dishes was limp and uninspired. The naked ribs were decent, though they won’t be replacing the Dirty South for me any time soon. The sweet and sour pork had pineapple and onions in it, which was a nice bonus. The general tso’s, Kung pao and sesame were all pretty bland. The dumpling dipping sauce was better here than Eats, but I wish they both would just use tempura. There was no vegetable tempura here, which you can sometimes find at Eats. Eats wins for dessert, simply because they have banana pudding, which is a personal favorite. Cleanliness was an issue; at one point I went through four plates before finding one without any visible crud on it. It was probably just as dirty, but at least I could lie to myself about it. I think I’ll be sticking with Eats for their better selection of sushi and desserts, as well as overall more...
