I spent three weeks in Tashkent in July 2022. My colleagues and I tried quite a few restaurants. City Grill was the one we elected to return to for a last meal.
Their venue is attractive and clean. Their service was exceptional. Most importantly, their food was delicious (a unanimous vote by the three of us).
They offer both imported meat and Uzbek meat which was what I chose on my last day. I had Chateaubriand and it was top notch. The prices were more than fair. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Read moreI was just looking for a place to sit and wait, as I was early for an appointment nearby. They saw me outside looking a bit confused and out of place, and came out to ask if they could help. When I explained my situation, they insisted I come inside and even grabbed my suitcase to carry up the steps and inside! Without asking, I was brought a glass of water, then asked if I wanted to see a menu. The kindness of the staff was exceeded only by the delicious soup and salad I enjoyed. Read moreAs a restaurant that specialises in steak I would expect higher quality beef that is properly cooked, but that is not what we got. Both our steaks tasted like they had been froze (one of them probably cooked from frozen), they had little flavour and did not have that grill flavour and texture you expect from a grill. For the price you pay (almost 60 pounds for 2 steaks, side of fries and two glasses of wine) I expect a lot more and I have paid a lot less for the same meal with higher quality meat and better cooking in London.
