Your food calms my soul.
As for authenticity, the flavor is amazing and the chefs do their best with local ingredients. I myself know how ingredients here taste different than in other countries, which complicates cooking, it’s hard for me to cook foreign dishes and get the flavor right with local vegetables, but everything i’ve tried from Foodmall so far has been deeply flavorful and delicious.
My favorites: the Pho, Eat Me Shawarma, Burgers from Buga and classic boba from Ocha.
The burgers have a really authentic steak house vibe to them, they’re not very fast food-ish, the meat is freshly pressed and grilled. Shawarmas unlike any other in the city, no greasy sauces and the chicken is good. Nice and hefty, worth the price. Pho is one of the only ones in Tashkent and it’s accessible due to Uzum delivery. I don’t even get the regular portion anymore, I always get the mega one because i know it will be good.

Amazing concept, this was needed...
Read moreEdit: Below was my original review but after a snarky comment from the owner (who cannot handle constructive criticism) I would like to suggest that owner of this restaurant (who supposedly went to Thailand to study the food): please make a formal apology to all of Thailand for absolutely butchering the cuisine. Original: I ate at Pad Thai. The girls behind the counter were nice. Made a mistake and gave me noodles when I asked for rice but fixed the mistake. The only thing I would say is that none of the food on their menu is Thai. It’s a weird concept of what they think Thai food is. I wonder if the owner has ever been to Thailand or been outside of BKK. I lived in Nakhon Nahok for a long time. And Thai food is complex. So I understand that it is hard to recreate the flavor. But there was zero Thai flavors in their dishes. Again. Not the workers fault. But more not knowing what Thai food is. I went to one of the bakeries. They had amazing cookies. The sweetness of the cookies made...
Read moreWe went out for our periodical Sunday breakfast and this time I offered to visit FoodMall Tashkent. I haven’t been here myself but read several articles and feedback about it. So, also wanted to check what’s it like inside. Nice place with several private run cafes. Due to morning only the Egg station café was serving food, others were just drinks and snacks. We ordered different dishes with omelettes, salmon and avocado, and children had pancakes with chocolate on it. Then we ordered drinks at 3 different cafes )) Breakfast is good, the drinks are OK. However, there is a real problem with kitchen hoods system. Luckily several cafes serving hot dishes weren’t working yet, but it already smelled with oil and cooking smell, so your clothe will definitely get that smell. They have nice outside yard with tables, would be very popular later in...
