This was both the first and the last hotel that we stayed at during our tour of Uzbekistan. Due to the arrival time of our international flight from LHR and the departure time of our internal flight to Urgench, we only had 24 hours there for our first stay, as we checked in at 5am on day 1 and then left at the same time on day 2. Our second stay was even shorter, as we checked in at 9pm and then checked out at 8am the following day. We were put in room 413 for our first stay, followed by room 713 for the second one, which led to a strong sense of déjà vu! ||In spite of the logistical oddities around our 2 stays, we really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The rooms were large and nicely furnished, and we particularly like the mini Smeg fridge. Both rooms were very quiet, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were good too. The only thing we didn’t like about the rooms was that the lights in the bedroom section were really dim – that’s not a bad thing if you’re trying to relax before you go to sleep, but it’s really not ideal when it’s dark outside and you are trying to repack your suitcase!||We had breakfast at the hotel twice, plus we were given a breakfast box on the day of our internal flight - we also had an included dinner there on our first evening. The restaurant looks modern and bright, but we felt that it was configured for style more than practical usage, as some of the tables were odd shapes or too close together, and it seemed too small for the overall size of the hotel. The food at breakfast was perfectly fine, but there didn’t seem to be enough staff on duty as the food was not replenished frequently enough and tables were not cleared very quickly. The evening meal that we had was much better, probably at least partly because it was a set menu and there weren’t many other customers. The breakfast box was pretty good too.||We thought that the location of the hotel was excellent overall - it’s a short drive from the airport and the train station, and the nearest Metro station is only 10 minutes’ walk away. There were plenty of places to get food from in the vicinity, including KFC and Costa right next door if you are missing your ‘home comforts’. Overall, we had a great stay at the Hampton by Hilton Tashkent and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fuss-free and convenient option...
Read moreThis is probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at — absolutely not up to Hilton standards. The AC wasn’t working in our room, it’s was (30 degree Celsius) so we spent the day in heat. We requested to change rooms three separate times and were told to give it time! Only seven hours later were we told that it was actually a system-wide issue and not just our room. Which was a lie as we asked other guests in the elevator and their AC was working! In order to shut us up from requesting a room change THEY LIED!!!! Disgusting.
No effort was made to make our stay more comfortable. No real apology — just a lot of waiting and frustration. The staff seemed completely unprepared to deal with the situation.
I definitely do not recommend staying here. This hotel does nothing for guest convenience or comfort, and frankly, it should not be carrying the Hilton name. Total disappointment. This was July 23, not a cold winter day.
**UPDATE RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS REPLY: I’m honestly shocked to read THE OWNER claim that there were “several attempts” made to relocate us to another room. If you had this conversation would not be taking place. This is simply NOT TRUE!!! We raised the issue three separate times, and not once during our two-night stay were we offered the option to switch rooms — despite the fact that our room stayed between 25 to 27 degrees the entire time.
What actually happened is that after we left this review describing our frustration, we were sent a card with an "apology" with fruits on the last night late!!!! it clearly shows that no action was taken to address our discomfort until after we publicly voiced it.
It’s incredibly disappointing to now see the situation being rewritten instead of acknowledged HONESTLY. If you’re going to run a business, please do it with INTEGRITY. I am shocked to see this level of dishonesty!! PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM...

I was booked for 3 days and 2 nights stay but due to flight issues, I didn't arrive on the 1st night. I have informed one of my colleagues to inform Hampton that I will be arriving late, hold the room for me and we understand the cost involve. They have informed us - yes. When I arrived the next day, they told me that no rooms and that the entire reservation has been cancelled. When asked who cancelled and why no nofification as this is a business trip and we have email correspondence, no one can answer. The Supervisor was not helpful and not apologetic of the situation! He didn't provide any solutions at all. And one of my co-exhibitor for the fair kind enough to share room so I won't be homeless in Uzbekistan. But the Supervisor didn't even come up with the solution and even wanted to charge extra to my friend as she is allowing me to stay in her room. ABSURD! My friend then responded you put her in this situation, she got a room, you will not charge us and give her a compimentary late check out. It took him while but he said YES in the end.
Also, we have asked help for my lost luggage in Air Astana if they can help with arrangement and as usual the Supervisor just say YES and said they will call me if the luggage arrives. No call so I approached reception in the morning, another staff on duty and she is blankly told me you need to go to the airport to collect it. And I asked I thought the Supervisor was arranging it last night and she said no, you need to go to the airport. So for me, OK I will go to the airport but which part of the airport, arrival or departure again clueless.
So yeah! They cancelled my entire reservation WITHOUT NOTICE. No solution provided and not empathetic and helpful given this is.Hilton Honors!!!
Very very unfortunate and bad customer service for a hospitality...
