Really bad service! Management definitely needs to make some changes with the staff. We ordered a bottle of water. When told by a waiter that each cup of coffee comes with a glass of free water, we placed the order for water anyway saying that we needed extra water. Around ten minutes later, another waiter brought our order but without the free water we were supposed to receive. We kindly explained the situation to the staff but it took them 15 minutes to bring just two glasses of water. All the other orders subsequent to that was executed with reluctancy and unprofessional facial expressions. Someone in the management has to educate them that unprofessionalism and trying to revenge on customers for the miscommunication within your own team probably is not the best thing. Eventually it is the business losing good clients because of bad service.

Besides that, coffee was good, which deserves a point there. Music is too loud and clubby for a cafe, especially for a book cafe, one more minus...

The environment and meals are great(a little bit expensive). But, customer service is terrible. The waiter is so rude.

Free wi-fi? Yes, there is it. But connection speed races with a tortoise.

They did not warn about a deposit when I came here. But when a was just about to leave, they required me a deposit of 100 k soums(that's a great amount in Uzbekistan). Although I said that they had to tell me about the deposit, my words just went to the air: the waiter simply did not want to hear me. When I asked him to call the director, he said "I don't call the boss unless I want".

Interestingly, later I found that this happens with only with foreigners or ones come from countryside. It is becoming a "rule" in Tashkent: If they notice that you're not from Tashkent, they just...

The atmosphere is nice but the waiter is so annoying who doesnt know how to service and rude. He is trying to create his own rules everyday. One day i went in to read a book and ordered coffee, the other day i went again to read and to have a cup of coffee only but he created his own rule that everyone who is inside the Cafe should buy smth fo maximum 70.000 soum. Even though i tried to explain that I came to just have a cup of coffee and read my book and explained that yesterday you didnt have this kinda rule he started arguing with me by showing me his rude personality. I asked him to call a manager but he ignored and told that he is a manager. I dont reccomend at all to experience this place. Even though the atmosphere is nice but service and personality of...

I entered this cafe on a sunday noon time. There was extreme lacking of O2 and extreme quiteness inside the cafe. I greeted the only person (a lady) who was sitting there and looking at me without any expressions. She kept looking at me in a cold way. So that I took a seat outside in the garden area. 20 mins later she came out to clear some tables. I asked if I could order, then she told that its a self service place so that I should order inside !!! Among a few recommended (!!!) Places in this city, however it's commiting suicide :(

A hangout for the prospective elite. As you walk inside you are faced with a labyrinth of books and students. It has that academic feel that can only be found in educational institutions. When you do find the counter, there you will find some serious and attentive baristas. Thankfully the seating is less like that found in university libraries and more like lounge cafes. Make the most of the quiet, sink coffee and relax.

An oasis from my first day in Tashkent. The waiter was helpful, spoke English and helped me with my “pre-beginner” level Russian. The coffee was fantastic and the food was great. I was introduced to a house favorite tea on my second visit: a mint, honey, green tea served in a French press. Very good! I’ll certainly return when I am next in Tashkent.
