This is a tiny little neighborhood shop and a definite must-go place for anybody who loves local, traditional dishes, and in particular duck meat, heart, liver, and gizzard, in either a salad or a porridge, and also a side of half a pig head boiled freshly and incredibly scrumptious. The duck meat is so tender and juicy, and served in a combination of mint and basil and cucumbers and several veggies I'm not sure what they are, but they all taste fantastic together and it's served with a spicy dipping sauce. We also ordered a side of what they call duck intestines, but which is actually a combination of gizzard, heart, and liver and they are also totally fresh and delightfully yummy. The half a pig head speaks for itself as there is lots of meat on there that is some of the most soft and juicy on a pig, and it leaves you breathless and aching for more. This is a local chicken and duck porridge spot that recently earned a Michelin star. Overall, it delivers well on several points: affordable prices, well-balanced porridge flavor, casual local vibes. They serve both porridge and chicken salad (gỏi), and also have beer available. The salad dishes are around 40,000–60,000 VND.

The staff are friendly, and the place stays open late. It’s popular with both locals and foreigners. In terms of taste, it’s not exceptionally outstanding, but definitely a bit better than your average porridge place.

duck salad with herbs, green mango, peanuts etc. is yum. note that they chop the ducks in pieces incl. bones.

bitter melon stew with jaw bone (pork): the stew with added fresh herbs, green mango, fruity-spicy dip etc. tastes fantastic, very likely even for the ones who don't like the few bitter melon slices in the pot. handling the jaw bone parts can feel like a slightly raw experience.
