I have mixed feelings about this spot. I really wanted to love it as it is close to home and could be a great restaurant as well as a work space. They are still in a “soft opening” phase which perhaps accounts for a lack of baked goods in the display case. That said they do have a pretty extensive menu of offerings, though the prices are a bit higher than other cafes. The place itself is large and comfortable for coworking with a nice outside garden and a large second floor. Some of the staff was not overly friendly and unfortunately stuck in their phones even as I approached the counter. (It felt a little like an American hipster place where the staff is too cool to be working there.) We got take away as we had some other plans but wanted to sample the food. The vegetarian bagel though quite large was light on flavor with only lettuce, rocket, avocado and mayo. Would have loved some cucumber or a little spice flavoring. The brownie however was 5 stars. One of the best I’ve had in Da Nang- full of chocolate flavor. Another place I thought they shined was the coffee. My wife had an iced vanilla caramel latte which she loved and I a coconut coffee- also very good. As this place is brand new I hope they will improve and perhaps work on training the staff to be a bit more customer service oriented. Lastly- the take away was all in sustainable packaging with paper straws....

Had a really enjoyable visit to Good Folk Cafe 😋. I ordered the bacon and egg Benedict 🥓🍳. It was very nice overall. The bacon was delicious, with crispy bits but still juicy 🤤. The only thing for me was the eggs were a little too firm, I personally prefer them runny, but I didn’t specify so that’s on me, not the kitchen.
My friend had the bò né 🥩 with pate on the side, which was absolutely delicious. I also tried their egg coffee (cà phê trứng) ☕🍮. The coffee itself was hot, topped with a cool, velvety egg cream that had been torched just enough to give a light crust. It was excellent and very well balanced. My friend had a matcha latte 🍵, which was perfectly made and tasted wonderful.
The staff were wonderfully professional and friendly 😊. Attentive without being overbearing, and they made us feel welcome right away. The café itself is beautiful ✨, spotless, and air-conditioned ❄️, which made it very comfortable. I also noticed a few digital workers on laptops 💻 enjoying the calm atmosphere, which shows it’s a great place to get some work done too.
The vibe was great ✨ and the food and drinks were exceptional 🥇. I’ll definitely be back, whether it’s for the food, the...
