Last night, my wife and I were craving for some seafood. The buffet restaurant looked inviting from the outside but the inside hides its true picture. At the entrance to the restaurant we were greeted by a server. He pointed us to the small reception desk where we were to pay for our entry to the buffet. Our method of payment was a prepaid debit card that was accepted in every store we have been to. We were asked whether we could pay by cash to which we asked what was the issue with our card. There did not seem to be an issue but it seemed that the restaurant wanted to avoid paying a fee for using the machine to process the visa transaction. Unfortunately we did not have the cash at the moment so we advised them that this is our only method at the time. We were asked in a bit of a brash manner to use an e-transfer service instead to which we also replied that we do not have the knowledge of how e-transfer works in the foreign country. It put pressure on us as customers because it felt that they really wanted to avoid using the machine. If the owner is reading this - I would sit down with your team and educate the team on hospitality and customer service. If you want your customers paying only in cash and e-transfers then please indicate so at the register. Any payment should be accepted without questions and if you are incurring any fees while processing the transaction then you can mention that to your customers and perhaps add it on top of the entry fee to avoid inconvenient situations. On the other hand we did get assisted in BBQing the food so I personally appreciated that because I wanted to make sure the food is cooked thoroughly. While the buffet food is presented in an OK manner, the raw bbq seafood portion was questionable. Unfortunately my wife and I paid the price so let this be a reminder not to have hunger overwhelm your reason. The buffet seems to operate from mid afternoon until it closes. I am not sure for how long do they keep the raw seafood out in these temperatures but it did not turn out too great for our health the day after. We did make sure that the food is over cooked just to make sure we won’t incur any stomach issues but it did not help in the end. We paid the price, please be wary for yourselves. If it’s not on ICE or live from the tank, I would...
Read moreI came here on the 9th March for my birthday dinner with my family but was about 30mins too early before the 5pm opening. I spoke to a young fellow and asked him if whether it was possible to atleast book a table for 5 as I saw a few tables have already been reserved. Unfortunately he couldn't do it and asked that I wait 10mins until a supervisor/manager was present and so which I did.
Once the manager appeared I was asked to take a seat and wait further more, at that point it was 15mins to 5pm and a whole tour group was welcomed and sat down which occupied around 30% of the restaurant, which then got up and started grabbing food.
Once finally seen I asked whether it was possible to pay first and come back later so my tables been reserved which management said that it was fine. I then went to the counter where a young gut with glasses served me. During that time he got a phone call and decided to try and multitask at the same time but also video call while trying to take my pay. Unfortunately that was the last straw for me as I couldn't believe what just happend...
As I was leaving with my family a well dressed lady approached my mother and asked if everything was okay (I assume maybe it was the manager/owner) my mother explained the situation and the woman was really sincerely apologetic.
This was the 2nd time I came here. The first time was fine and I wanted to take my family here to experience what i did the first time but was left with...
Read moreWhy would anyone come here when there are so many fantastic restaurants in Danang where you can get a filling meal and drink of your choice for less than 100k? Con Market, for example, has a food section with hundreds of mouth watering dishes each only about 30k. Think about how many of those individual taste bombs you could eat for 300k which is the cost per person of coming to this buffet at the weekend, a tiny bit cheaper during the week. Buffets in general fool you into thinking you’re getting value for money, but in reality hardly anyone can eat enough to make it worth the cost. That is especially true at a buffet like this one where the food provided is low cost and low quality. We were here at 7pm on a Sunday, a prime dining time, but most of the food tasted like it had been sitting around for hours. The frog was inedibly chewy and cold, the salad was limp and the rice had a hard crust. Add to this a very poor drink selection included in the price (Nescafé, water and Lipton tea) and very poor choice of fruit (watermelon and guava only) and this is not a place I would recommend except to someone I...
