CORNTILLAS bakery — Restaurant in Hà Nội

We’d had a family friend recommend Corntilla, so we decided to try it out. That being said, the food was not up to our standards.

The staff are lovely and helpful. I came with my father (who has celiac’s, so he can’t eat gluten) and they understood that he could only eat 100% corn tortillas.

Their tortillas, tortilla chips, and salsas are authentic and quite delicious. Perfectly salted and flavorful.

Now…

We shared the classic nachos. The nachos came with just a bowl of cheese, but with nothing that was shown in the menu (such as jalapeños). The cheese tasted like mashed potatoes, and when we asked for some jalapeños, they did not have any.

My father ordered 4 tacos (birria, chicken, pork pastor, and pork and mushroom). Both the birria and the al pastor were tough and dry; the chicken was sweet and lacked flavor; but, the mushroom pork taco was okay. The onions accompanying the tacos were oily, and not pickled, although fotos from past reviews seemed to have pickled onions.

I ordered the shrimp taquitos. I was disappointed. The shrimp within the taquitos didn’t taste fresh and the tortilla was excessively oily.

While the food is inexpensive, it may be worth your money to go somewhere that puts more care into their food. Coming from a latina who’s grown up cherishing the...

Woeful. Awful service, beef burrito at first didn’t have any cheese in (which is was supposed to have) they gave me a replacement which I took away after waiting 30 minutes for the first burrito and my wife had already eaten her food, the 2nd burrito I tried to eat at home was full of fat. The prices are disgusting for Hanoi, you can get better, cheaper Mexican food in London!

I have a feeling it’s Mexican owned but they’re letting unskilled Vietnamese cooks ruin their food as everything is bland and just tastes like Pho. Won’t be returning and definitely do...

The owners are especially kind people. they treat everyone so well when they visit. the food and drink are simple but delicious. Their smoothies are very good too. You can't beat the location. you have stunning views of the lake. They often have concerts and open mic nights on Sundays that are very fun and relaxed to attend. a great spot to hang out and chill. popular with westerners and locals alike. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Atmosphere can't be beat without relying...
