I can’t believe I’m saying this, but after visiting several KFC branches around Hanoi, I’d have to say this one is probably the best so far and I genuinely hope other locations take notes from how this branch operates. It’s not that the store does anything extraordinary, but rather that it simply functions properly, which is surprisingly rare. And sometimes, just being efficient and organized is more than enough.
Parking can be a bit tricky. The lot appears to be shared with a neighboring restaurant or hotel, and the guard on duty isn’t particularly helpful. You’ll likely need to find your own spot across the street. The parking area is adequate, but space can be tight during peak hours.
Once inside, however, things improve significantly. The store feels well-managed. You can place your order at the self-service machine, and a staff member promptly offers assistance. Their English isn’t perfect, but it's good enough to help international customers get through the ordering process. After placing your order, you receive clear instructions on whether to wait at the pickup counter or have the food brought to your table, much more organized than the chaos I’ve experienced at other locations.
A lot of credit seems to go to the young female store manager, who manages operations smoothly. She directs the staff efficiently, ensures orders are prioritized properly, maintains cleanliness, and even performs quality control. Even something as basic as the sauce station, which is often neglected in other branches, was fully functional here, with sauces stocked and no broken equipment.
The food was freshly prepared and served quickly, reinforcing the sense that this location genuinely cares about quality. While the staff did relax and joke around a bit once the crowd thinned, it didn’t feel unprofessional, they had already done their work properly, unlike in other branches where customer care seems like an afterthought.
Overall, maybe the bar is just so low that seeing a KFC branch operate efficiently feels surprising, but I really hope this place keeps up its standards. It’s clear that people notice, and I truly appreciate the effort...
Read moreI'm torn about this review! I had the 2 piece original recipe chicken + chips and pepsi with 3 hot wings. The staff were friendly and had good English (who can complain about that when most tourists who visit don't speak Vietnamese!!) The chicken was moist, hot and crispy, and like many KFC in Asia they have tomato and chilli sauce on a help yourself basis (really good). Lots of seats, kids play area upstairs, so all that's good... Now I'm tucking in and there is absolutely no taste of KFC, NO 11 herbs and spices on the original receipt chicken. So I try a hot-wing... NOT hot (spicy), no spice at all !!! I could be in any genetic fried chicken joint, because that's all this is, just fried chicken (very good , well cooked, hot, crispy) But Not KFC. Having had KFC in many countries I can always find that original KFC taste (slightly different in some countries, but definitely original recipe 11 herbs and spices). Unfortunately not here. The Pepsi tastes good, served in a glass if eating in. Good value for chicken chips and drink but...
Read moreKFC VIETNAM 🇻🇳 ZINGER COMBO 111,000DONG The zinger combo, a classic combo makes an appearance. Priced well the zinger combo was not lacking in size (maybe the burger). Drink stock standard let's move on. French fries were unsalted but there are complimentary sauces in the store, these do not however make up for the lack of flavour 5/10. The zinger was lacking in size and flavour, the only zing I got was being deceived. The oversize tomato was NOT IT 4/10. The saving grace that descends down from the heavens is the chicken wing, gracefully coated in the secret herbs and spices with zinger sauce??!? and cooked to juicy perfection 8/10. Overall I can't rate this experience highly 5.5/10 is the absolute maximum I can see myself giving this. (Nasty...
