Manwah Lotte Đào Tấn — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Manwah has always been my favorite restaurant in Hanoi. Whenever I travel to Hanoi, I bring my team here to enjoy the delicious hotpot with fresh meat.

Last night, the ladies working at the front desk went above and beyond to help me and save my night. Here's what happened:

We took a Grab from our hotel to Manwah. As soon as we sat down, I realized that I had left my phone in the Grab car. We tried calling the driver and Grab customer service, but it didn't work.

The ladies at the front desk came to our rescue. They helped me get in touch with Grab customer service using their phones. They were able to get the driver's phone number and called him to ask him to bring the phone back to Lotte Center.

Thanks to their help, I was able to get my phone back! I only speak English, so without their help, I wouldn't have been able to contact the driver and get my phone back. They saved my day and my trip to Hanoi!

This restaurant discriminates against solo diners. I believe restaurants should maximize seating when it is busy so turning away a party of 1 for a party of 4 is perfectly rational. However, there were more than 5 open tables when I arrived and there was no queue and still I was turned away, citing “we’re full at the moment”.

Once I pretended to mention I had a party of 2, they said there was seating available. Very unprofessional establishment. Business vision is short sighted and Management should be embarrassed. Meat was fresh and flavorful, I’d recommend staying away from the dumplings and fish cakes because the flavor was not so great. Two of us ate for around 385K each, the service was super attentive, friendly and hardworking. The drink options are super good with herbal tea, hot cafe, watermelon juice, yakult, and milk tea, and assorted juices. Awesome dessert options (ice cream), mochis, and cakes, and Pearl drop.
