This is a complaint letter. I believe everyone knows that Hanoi is beautiful, but why are the staff service and verbal regulations of TOP OF HA NOI so rude and unprofessional! I entered the tfh bar at around 19:00 that afternoon and used my photographic equipment and took pictures safely under the watchful eyes of many staff (including security guards and waiters). Suddenly, a female staff member at the front desk stopped me from using a tripod to take pictures unreasonably and called the security guard to stop my subsequent shooting process! Here are my questions: Why did the female staff at the front desk and other staff not tell me that the use of a tripod was prohibited when I brought my equipment into the bar? When I spent 230k VND to buy the ticket, no one reminded me (including verbally and in writing). This female staff member verbally told me that the use of a tripod for shooting was prohibited and did not give any written regulations! And the security guard who was called saw that I was using the equipment to take pictures before understanding the specific situation and did not stop me. Only after the female staff at the front desk told the security guard did they stop me! This made me feel deeply that this was a discrimination against me! I don't understand. If the promotional photos you use here are also handheld, then I can accept such a rule. If not, and without producing relevant documents and regulations, then this is unfair discrimination...
Read moreThis was a repeated visit. And over the 2 years, the standard of this place has dropped dramatically that the owner should just close the place down.
The service staff was absolutely absent, and I had to wave them down at least 3 times before getting their attention. And even when I got their attention, asking them for salt for my tequila took 3 asks before it was on my table.
Staff obviously do not want to be there, and there palpable irritation from the staff’s end when we asked for more salt.
This is not a cheap bar to visit, and I had such a great time 2 years ago that I had to bring my friends here only to be disappointed by the service and attitude of the staffs.
Cocktails were so expensive and bad, I taste better on the streets of Hanoi.
Food was mediocre at best, we ordered the skewers and the chicken was 80% skin and not meat. Korean pancakes are a letdown, it was soggy and disintegrating: it puts lotte and the Korean to shame.
It was loud and noisy, there was no way to have a conversation. The music did not match the ambience of the place and honestly was trashy.
This is a disappointment, and I advise nobody to come. It is a shame.
Do yourself a favor, and just don’t visit. We spent closer to $150 as a trio. Only to be let down by both the food...

The rooftop view is undeniably stunning. The panoramic sights of the city skyline are breathtaking, and it’s a perfect spot for snapping photos and enjoying a serene sunset. However, that’s where the positives end.
The food was an absolute letdown. The menu was overpriced and uninspired, with dishes that arrived cold and poorly prepared. My order was bland and lacked any freshness or flavor, making it feel like an afterthought to the venue's aesthetic appeal.
The drinks were no better. They were either watered down or overwhelmingly strong, with no balance or finesse. For a bar boasting such a prime location, the cocktail menu left much to be desired, and even basic options were poorly executed.
The service was the final nail in the coffin. Staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, with long waits for orders and even longer waits for assistance. There was a distinct lack of professionalism or effort to make guests feel welcome.
Ultimately, while the views might draw you in, the rest of the experience falls painfully short. I would recommend stopping by for a quick photo op, but skip the food, drinks, and any expectations of good service.
