Red River Restaurant — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Great somewhat hidden find since it’s across from Tim Ho Wan and likely overshadowed by it. On the 36th floor of Lotte Hotel.

It’s a modernized, Chinese-Korean fusion restaurant that executed well on all the dishes I tried. Great flavor, massive portions, great service, so all around would recommend will be back to try more dishes.

Deep Fried Shrimp Mayonnaise with blueberry sauce (4.5/5): might be too luscious for some since it’s heavily covered in mayo but great tangy, sweet, salty combo with plump big shrimp that has been coated and crisply fried Eggplant with Spicy Sauce (4/5): Unique preparation, they julienned it into small fries, coated it and deep-fried it. Tossed in a slightly spicy, sweet/savory meat sauce Sweet and Sour pork tenderloin Korean style (4.5/5): excellent, sauce on the side to dip and sauce was slightly too watery Korean noodles in brown sauce: (4/5) good, tastes...

I had dinner at Red River, Lotte Hotel Hanoi, and it was an excellent experience. The seafood fried rice was perfectly cooked — each grain fluffy and flavorful, with fresh, sweet shrimp and tender squid.

The meal was beautifully complemented with a light seaweed soup, crunchy roasted peanuts, and pickled vegetables that balanced the flavors just right. Everything was served in elegant white porcelain, making the presentation both clean and refined.

The atmosphere is classy, the service attentive and professional, and the staff very friendly. Truly a wonderful dining experience that I’d love to come back to again.

A surprising pleasant experience high up in Lotte Hotel Hanoi. This fusion Chinese Korean restaurant has a fairly short menu but each dish prepared with just-right seasonings and solid cooking techniques. Highly recommended are the braised pork belly and sweet and sour prawns.

Price point is also interesting low - roughly USD30 per head.
