From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, a sense of warmth and authenticity enveloped us, promising an exceptional Vietnamese dining experience. And it delivered, in spades. Our culinary journey began with the quintessential Vietnamese starter: spring rolls. These weren't your average, run-of-the-mill rolls; they were delicate, expertly crafted parcels of fresh herbs, tender vegetables, and perfectly cooked protein, all encased in a paper-thin, yet resilient rice paper. The accompanying dipping sauce, a harmonious blend of sweet, sour, and savory notes, elevated the experience, creating a symphony of flavors that danced on the palate. Next, we sampled the fish balls. Unlike the dense, often rubbery versions found elsewhere, these were light, airy, and bursting with the fresh taste of the sea. They were clearly made with high-quality ingredients, and the subtle seasoning allowed the natural sweetness of the fish to shine through. However, the true star of the evening was the cobia fish in a clay pot. This dish, a testament to the art of Vietnamese cooking, was a revelation. The cobia, a firm, white fish, was cooked to perfection, its flaky texture melting in the mouth. The clay pot, imbued with the rich, earthy aromas of caramel, ginger, and garlic, created a deeply satisfying and complex sauce that clung to the fish, infusing it with layers of flavor. Each bite was a harmonious blend of sweet, salty, and slightly spicy notes, a testament to the balance and artistry of Vietnamese cuisine. The accompanying rice, fluffy and fragrant, provided the perfect canvas for soaking up the delectable sauce. Beyond the exquisite food, the service was truly exceptional. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing their culinary heritage. They offered insightful recommendations, patiently answered our questions, and ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Their genuine warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal, transforming it from a simple dinner into a memorable cultural exchange. The restaurant's ambiance, a blend of traditional Vietnamese charm and modern elegance, further enhanced the experience. This meal wasn't just food; it was a journey through the heart of Vietnamese cuisine, a testament to the power of fresh ingredients, skillful cooking, and heartfelt...
Read moreFound Long Den Restaurant which is actually the name of the hotel restaurant at Little HoiAn hotel by the river (with name of hotel overpowering any name displays). One hotel frontline lady wasn’t of any help as she was more keen to talk to her colleague than potential customers. However another hotel attendant came forward to acknowledge Long Den is here and directed us to a seat at the hotel front. The waiting staff ‘Lisa’ of the restaurant took over and with her amazing hospitality compensated fully our first experience with the hotel staff. Atmosphere wise, we were greeted by wonderful floral scent from the planting bloom around us. We ordered the Chinese/Vietnamese dishes and two mock tails. The food dishes were superb. They were Vegetarian Fried Rice, Stirred Fried Vegetables, Dried Pork in Sweet & Sour Sauce and a BBQ Seafood Combo. We were constantly attended to by Lisa who was extremely helpful as she spoke some English. She even came forward to offer to help us take a family photo on her own initiative. This restaurant is highly recommended for its good food and great service. Price wise...
Read moreWe stayed in Hoi An for 4 days and tried many famous restaurants. But surprisingly, we found that the restaurant near our accommodation was incredibly delicious. That restaurant is this one. We ate here probably 5 or 6 times since the first day we came to Hoi An until the day we were going back. For our last meal in Hoi An, we chose this restaurant. What we can't not mention is the kind service of Hanna. She took good care of us and our family from the first meal to our last meal. She also recommended places to visit when we were in Hoi An. Her smile was friendly. We have to thank the kitchen team who cooked everything for us with care. All the food was delicious, both Western and Eastern, including Vietnamese food. Pho was a great way to open our dining experience. Thank you again. Hope to see you again. From the Thai family, Piak and Ple.
P.S. Our son loves your fried squid and your...
