The Salt Restaurant in Hoi An enjoys a prime location right in the heart of the ancient town, featuring a beautifully aesthetic décor that blends traditional Vietnamese elements with modern touches. The menu is impressively diverse, offering everything from Vietnamese and Western cuisine to vegetarian options. While the prices may be slightly higher than the average in Hoi An, they are well worth it. Our group of five ordered ten dishes, and only one didn’t quite suit our taste—an excellent success rate.
The beverage list is equally varied, including local draft beers, craft brews, and beautifully presented, high-quality cocktails. The restaurant also offers private dining areas, accommodating both small groups and larger parties of up to 100 guests.
The staff are incredibly warm and attentive. Special thanks to Ms. Thảo and Mr. Nhân for taking great care of our group and showing us around the venue. We will definitely recommend The Salt to our friends and look forward to...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel (highly recommended) and decided to eat here late at night for convenience, not expecting to be overly impressed but it turned out to be easily our best experience in a "nice" restaurant during our two week visit to Vietnam. We had the chicken in bamboo boat and the beef with bok choy (the first two items on the main course page of the menu) as well as the fresh rolls and morning glory with garlic side vegetable. The chicken, of course, is highly recommended in these reviews and for good reason but the beef was even better in our experience. So very tender and well seasoned, just amazing we were fighting over the last piece. Add a glass of wine and a bottled water and we spent a little under $40.00 USD, which is in line with our plan to eat both "upscale" and local fare while here, and it was the most pure protein we've had in a single seating in Vietnam. I am only occasionally moved to write a restaurant review but this meal was...
Read moreTotally pleasantly surprised & blown away by the dinner. We had the bamboo chicken set & banana leaf grouper fish set plus stir fried tofu, green beans & sprouts vegetables. All the dishes were outstanding. Not your traditional Viet fare but a creative contemporary interpretation. The chef obviously knows his flavours. The two different sauces for the chicken & fish were complex, light, sour, sweet & a hint of spice. Totally well balanced. Even the mango salad on the side of the fish set was delicious. Tangy with robust flavour.
This Restaurant exceeded my husband & my expectation. The environment is also lovely with a unique Vietnamese live musical instrument player which was a bonus.
What a great discovery & find. Highly recommend if you want a unique special...
