The tallest hotel in Danang cost 1.3 mil VND per night. This “hotel” offered us a “discounted” rate of 1.5 mil VND because of the construction going on within it. The hotel is sandwiched between two night clubs, and locks after midnight, after which you need to call a phone number to come let you back in. We found this out coincidentally after seeing the note tied to the front door. It has a swimming pool, as advertised, which closes at 21:00 with a swim up bar that doesn’t seem to be in use. There is a “koi pond” which, judging by the looks of it, makes me feel very sorry for the fish living within. The lobby, if the wind isn’t blowing, is permeated by the smell of sewer gas. The room, while it looks nice at first, does not smell much better, only that instead of sewer gas it smells musty and dank. The blanket is visibly stained (not to say that it isn’t clean but I genuinely don’t know). During the evening, the air conditioning unit suddenly broke and caused water to drip profusely out of it onto the table holding the TV. When this was brought to the attention of the concierge, he told us that it would have to wait to be fixed until the morning (after we left). The unit continued to drip throughout the night, soaking several towels left there to combat it. The shower, if you can figure out which of the five knobs controls it, gives you the temperature options of hot or scalding. There are exposed wires next to the tub, which doesn’t fill up as the stopper does not work properly, and there is a hole in the side of the tub itself for an unknown reason, and the toilet paper holder comes away from the wall if you use it (as I expect anyone with basic personal hygiene to do). The beds may very well just be box springs rather than mattresses. I realize that Vietnamese mattresses are much more firm than American beds, but these were like pallets of bricks with two giant sponges as pillows. We were woken at 07:30 to the sounds of hammers and circular saws as the construction started bright and early. I will say the breakfast was pretty good. All in all, this facility has no right to charge what it does per night. The concierge tried to be accommodating but the building itself is falling apart at the seams and nowhere near worth 1.6 mil VND a night. You would be better off getting a nicer hotel for half the price in Danang and using the extra money you saved to take a Grab to and from Hoi An. This was our first trip here, and if this hotel is any indication of what the price will get you to stay a night here, it will be the last.

We stayed here for one night in August and booked 4 rooms for our party of 13. We had a great stay and were extremely happy with our rooms, thus the 5 star rating. That said, understand that the hotel itself is not a 5-star establishment. The hotel is extremely well located (a few minutes by foot to the night market and very close to the bridge to the old town), it was perfect for what we wanted. The hotel and rooms are a beautiful mix of charm and modern amenities. The rooms felt like they were authentic to Hoi An's history, with beautiful, old, dark wood and heavy, detailed door handles. The rooms are not pristine (in terms of craftmanship), but they are very clean, comfortable, and offer the creaturely comforts of hot water, modern facilities, good A/C, space, and comfortable bedding. The sitting room furniture is not quite as comfortable though. The service was impeccable, warm, and helpful. Breakfast was really good and offered a bountiful, tasty spread of Vietnamese and international cuisine. The welcome drink was delicious and appreciated by all (it was hot when we visited!). The hotel was also very helpful in terms of helping with transportation. My husband and kids also really enjoyed cooling off in the courtyard pool. Overall, though the hotel is a bit pricier than other options, we felt it was worth it for the comfort, charm, and location. Thank you for a great stay, we look forward to returning in the future and for a longer stay!!

My family stayed at Long Life Riverside Hotel in Hoi An for three nights. The hotel’s location is excellent, very close to the Ancient Town, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. However, the breakfast menu was exactly the same for all three days, and worse still, when we woke up early, we saw that the hotel ordered breakfast dishes from local street food vendors rather than preparing them in-house. Because these street foods came from outside sources, food hygiene and safety were not guaranteed, and unfortunately, all of us experienced stomach pain after eating breakfast during our stay. The staff member in charge of breakfast service on Friday, October 3, and Sunday, October 5, 2025, had an extremely poor and rude attitude (the same male staff member as attached photo). I believe that having employees with such behavior makes guests feel uncomfortable and will discourage them from ever returning. The hotel will end up damaging its own business if it continues to train and retain staff like this. I hope the hotel will take this feedback seriously and replace such employees to provide better service to tourists in the future.

Here's our experience in chronological order:||||- We checked in on the evening of 21st March and were allocated room 206.||- Upon arrival, we immediately noticed an unpleasant odor emanating from the fridge, along with visible green residue at the bottom. We brought this to the attention of the general manager, hoping for a resolution.||- On 22nd March, one of us fell ill, prompting a day of rest with the "do not disturb" sign on our door. Consequently, we had to reschedule planned activities.||- 23rd March: Despite feeling unwell, we attempted breakfast, but the nausea, cramps, sore throat, and stinging eyes prevented us from eating much. We politely declined housekeeping service but accepted water from the staff. Upon trying to store the water in the fridge, we encountered the same unpleasant smell and green residue. By this point, the smell had worsened to the extent that it made us wretch, overpowering the room. We opened all windows and doors to the room, but it was so bad that I stood on the balcony to breathe while my husband reported this to the general manager.||- Upon reporting this to the general manager, we were informed that the smell indicated a gas leak from the fridge, rendering the room unsafe. We had not known this was the problem, but had the general manager checked when the original complaint was made, the story could have been different. We were advised to wait in the reception area or purchase drinks next door. When we expressed concern about the potential health implications, the general manager acknowledged the possibility, said “I’m sorry about that” nonchalantly and assured us he would investigate further.||- On 25th March, despite some improvement in our health, we spent most of the day in bed. Housekeeping kindly delivered water, but we had to inquire about a replacement fridge that evening. The general manager's forgetfulness and apathetic response were disappointing, but not unexpected, to say the least. We could have died, a baby would have, which the general manager also acknowledged.||||This hotel's oversight regarding guest safety is concerning. Our concerns went unaddressed until the situation escalated. No one had checked the fridge since our original complaint, we were in the room so knew. It's evident that safety protocols need improvement, and guest welfare should be a top priority.||||In conclusion, we advise potential guests to exercise caution when considering this establishment. While the location may be convenient, the lack of accountability and competence in addressing safety concerns makes it a risky choice for...

We requested transfer from the airport but no one showed up and we ended up hiring a taxi that resulted more expensive than the transfer service of the hotel since it was late in the evening. In our 4 day stay at the hotel, they didn't clean the room and when we asker for towels, they gave us dirty and old towels. The personel doesn't speak/understand well English and are not resolutive when you have a problem. When we tried to speak with the manager (with whom we have been exchanging correspondence regularly before our arrival) to solve our problems, the people at the hotel told us that we couldn't speak direclty to them, but by means of the personnel hotel, and the manager didn't replied to our messages or emails. Breakfast was very limited, both in variety and in quantity. They dind't replaced the food regardless of the time you went to have breakfast (neither early or late). The only good thing about the hotel is the location, but I wouldn't recomend the stay here only for this reason.
