Hoi An Golden River Hotel & Restaurant — Hotel in Hội An

I have booked 3 Superior Double bedded Room through Agoda company with full amount deposited in advance, Check in date 25/10/23, Check out date 27/10/23 Booking Reference No.1003871441 for 6 Adults, we reached the hotel by 22:00 hrs, on check in time i submitted the booking confirmation receipt, they clearly denied to provide the room key and told us that we have not received any payment against the booking, which was shocking for us, then we immediately call Agoda helpline office they told told me that amount has been already paid, but the hotel could not any payment receipt, then we request the owner to provide the rooms and solve the dispute between Agoda and them as it was too late and we were tired, then the front desk manager told us to deposit the money again which we refused to pay, then they start drama that you have to deposit original passport for all the passengers, which was also denied by us, we told them to take Xerox copy or mobile photo of all the passport, then they told us ok we will provide the rooms and to be settled by next day morning otherwise you have to pay at hotel again, anyway we got the room keys and i started to contact once again to Agoda company to settled down all the issues, on the next day on 26/10/23 at the time of breakfast one of the staff came to us and told me that they have received the amount earlier through Xperia company on behalf of Agoda, it was really so pathetic for us. On the other side the hotel location is excellent with clean rooms and good breakfast. I personally request all the guest who book this hotel should take advance confirmation through e-mail to avoid harassments also keep in mind that late night no staff understand English either they speak English so its more disgusting. |For Hotel, Room, Breakfast, Location and staff i give full marks, but for the hotel owen...

I recently stayed at Hoi An Golden River Hotel, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The rooms were a bit old in terms of decor and furniture, but they were clean, spacious, and comfortable, so we didn’t really mind. Everything was in good working condition, and the stay was quite cozy.

One of the biggest highlights was the receptionist, who was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. She went out of her way to assist us with everything we needed from directions to local recommendations and we truly appreciated her support throughout our stay.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, just a few steps away from the boating lake and the heart of Hoi An’s Old Town. It was perfect for evening walks, sightseeing, and easy access to restaurants and shops.

As vegetarians, we did find that the breakfast buffet had limited veg options, but to our surprise, the staff happily prepared a separate vegetarian breakfast for us upon request. It was fresh, tasty, and served with a warm smile. Their kindness and attentiveness really stood out.

Another plus point was the nominal pricing. Given the location and quality of service, the hotel offers great value for money.

All in all, while the rooms could use a bit of updating, the excellent service, prime location, and thoughtful staff made our stay a very enjoyable one. I would definitely recommend it for a comfortable and budget-friendly...

The Golden River Hotel has as a good Location near to the riverfront with many bars and restaurants & just 4-5 mins walk from the ancient town. Elevator is not available in this hotel maybe the same with all of hotels in the center of Hoian traditional town. We had a front balcony room that was simple but adequate. Breakfast was included, it was simple but very doable. The staff was exceptionally attentive and informative. Especially Mrs. Duong tran, she was very sweet & helpful & was available on whatsapp 24x7 to help us. Once I messaged her at 22:30 hrs for no hot water in shower & within 5 Mins she replied & in next 10 mins hot water was there. when we checked in she took time to give us a map and explain different parts of HoiAn on the map. Like where to find more original vietnamese food just a few blocks from all the tourist in small restaurants. They also have a indoor swimming pool which was nice & clean. Definitely take the room with balcony. There is a small bar right across which is on till midnight & you'll here light music but we were not disturbed with it, infact found it quite entertaining. Our private car & Ba na Hills tickets were booked by the hotel & it was hassel free. Definitely stay again if coming back Hoi an! |Thank for everything & keep up the good work...
