Nice pizzeria and ambience The owner needs to talk to the manager who is killing your business and losing customers
Been 5 times in a few months as I live nearby 3 experiences have been bad... and raised questions every time to have another poor excuse ....
Ordered 3 beers at 5.50pm during happy hour with friends , waitress forgot to put the order through and at 6.10 was charged full price... just said sorry but cant do anything... happy hour finish... my friends all live in Saigon and I recommended the place... but they thought no... not how you do business..... okaaay Next visit, ordered a pint that was only 330ml.. asked the question no its correct... next time ordered a pint and it came in a pint glass... not a 330ml glass... okaaay... Ordered half half pizza with extra toppings and got charged for full toppings price .. so 500k for one pizza... told all the topping goes on. If it does then 5 clams for 70k and some sprinkling of mushroom is very cheap style. Not huge money... but again... not customer focused... all about the $$$..
There are far better businesses out there offering just as good if not better food and service... I'll make the extra effort to go there instead from now
Wait for the retort from the manager / owner... its always coming... and yes i did complain every time but always excuses.. read the reviews
My advice, learn and listen to your customers... they feed you.. not pizza.... but money... and money...
Read moreI must say that having spent a fair amount of time, on and off, in Vietnam since November 2024, Pizza and Bia more than satisfied the craving for a good pizza, the first time in this country.
The second time I went there about within a week in August 2025, had another delightful conversation with Gia, the manager, who is quite conversant in English since I’m not in Vietnamese. I learnt that the place is owned by a couple in their thirties, one Australian and the other Vietnamese. Neither had restaurant experience nor with pizzas. But, the Aussie’s childhood dream was to have a pizza parlor fashioned after a tavern or a pub. The wife, Vietnamese, took on the operational role and went to Italy for culinary education with focus on Neapolitan pizzas. Thus Pizza and Bia were born. And that is where I had two superb pizzas, slightly well done at my behest, and brought in as requested. Anchovies on the side.
Staff was engaging, atmosphere very appropriate for practically any mood you choose to have, and the pizza scrumptious as they come.
Highly recommended. And I have a request in through Gia to meet the owners once they return from vacation. The pizza expert returned from Italy and taught the staff how to make pizzas as wonderful as they are. She’s obviously been marvelous since both times my pizzas were as good as any I’ve had in New York...
Read morePizza & Bia’s food was good and the fettuccine was delicious, but the service was awful. Granted my party was a party of 4 and composed of no one older than the age of 21 and we weren’t dress up like most people in the restaurant, but we were still paying customers. When we arrived, our table had no plates, no sauces, no napkins, nothing. We had to wait more than 20 minutes to place an order. We tried to wave the attention of several servers and they saw us, but kept ignoring our request. For drinks, we ordered 3 waters and one lime soda. The waters arrived in bottles in no timely manner, and we were told we would get cups soon after. We did not get cups until the lime soda arrived (towards the end of our meal). A server even told us, “Please wait for the Lime soda, we are currently busy.”, as if we weren’t also customers. To summarize, we basically had to wave down the attention of servers the whole time dining. At one point, we even had to get up and find our own napkins because the people never brought it after we requested to 3 separate servers. The funny thing is a couple who arrive after us were given timely service and had their table fully set up before we even got our drinks and cups. I understand it was a busy night on valentines, but if you’re going to serve foreign cuisine, atleast practice the...
