Very disappointed with staff service !

I’ve been a regular at this Starbucks shop and usually overlook minor issues like uncleared tables during busy times. However, today’s experience was disappointing. I brought in my personal cup, which was dirty, and asked the staff to rinse it. They informed me of their policy to keep my lid and straw, but I requested they rinse the straw as well. They mentioned they could only rinse the cup with hot water, which I accepted. When I received my drink, the cup was still visibly dirty. The staff stated that the residue was present when I handed it over and couldn’t be removed by rinsing. I was surprised they proceeded to use the cup despite its condition.

I understand bringing in a dirty cup was my mistake, and I agreed to their rinsing limitations. However, I would have appreciated if they had informed me that the rinsing didn’t clean the cup properly, so we could find another solution together. Instead, they proceeded with the order without addressing the issue. Throughout the interaction, there was no apology or acknowledgment from the staff.

In the end, while I acknowledge my part in this situation, I hope the staffs will handle similar cases with better communication and care...
