Fantastic New Brunch Menu! A Must Try For Brunch Lovers in Ho Chi Minh City!
Brunch is more than a meal in Saigon; it’s an integral part of life in Ho Chi Minh City. And Tomatito has crafted one of the best brunch menus around. Trust me, I’ve been nursing this delicious food baby all afternoon.
To start we had both the Sopa de Guisantes con Jamon, a beautiful green pea soup mixed with mint, courgette and Iberian ham, and the Croquetas de Espinacas, 3 spinach infused goat cheese croquettes. Clearly we were off to a good start!
Next up we devoured the Huevos Manchegos, a piping hot skillet of crispy papas fritas topped with a colourful vegetable piperade, manchego shavings and a perfect pair of sunny side up eggs. We also sunk our teeth into the Huevos Rotos con Chorizo, which was a combination of deliciously seasoned scrambled eggs and savoury Spanish Chorizo.
For our mains, first we indulged in the Canelones. A Spanish classic of gorgeous braised beef and truffle cannelloni, garnished with sautéed mushrooms. Delicious, delectable and delightful all wrapped up and smothered in queso! Then when we tried out the Pata de Pulpo. Barbequed, tender grilled octopus accompanied by smoked potato puree, creamy aioli and crispy potatoes. Yum!
Finally for dessert, Tomatito’s Chocotrufta y Palomitas de Maíz should be at the top of everyone’s dessert bucket list. A velvety dark chocolate brownie, caramelized truffle popcorn, fluffy mascarpone mousse and rich creamy ice cream. I mean just close your eyes and let the drool flow.
Tomatito’s refreshed brunch menu combined with their classic Spanish bites we all know and love make this spot a must on any foodie’s list when in Saigon. We all know the importance of starting your weekend off on the right foot and that means brunching to your best ability. So, grab your extra-large glass of sangria and sip away those...
Read more"What does it mean", my significant other asked no less than 5 times. Following that, she proceeded to call the restaurant "TomatiNo", "Titotito", "Motatito". So, a word of warning: your vietnamese date will never be able to tell others where she ate.
With this behind us, let's talk about Tamatuto:
Mutanumo is talked around as a Spanish restaurant, but I'd rather call it hispanic. It doesn't limit itself to the signature dishes of Spanish cuisine but broadens its horizons to Argentina, Mexico, and all those other countries where old times spaniards went around in heavy armor crushing skulls and planting flags.
The atmosphere is as lively as one could ask for, at Rumangninhghno: live music, festive crowd, helpful and well mannered staff. However, come 10pm I looked over my shoulder and suddenly everyone had vanished, in Truman Show's style.
What else can I say, in order to give myself one more go at willingly misspelling the restaurant's name? Ah yes -
slightly on the expensive side
a bit too noisy if you're one of the last romantics who enjoys conversation like I happen to do Even less so if you are mostly deaf from one ear, as I happen to be.
located just under a nice rooftop brewery where you will NOT order "ha noi weiss", history's most sour beer ever FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT ORDER THAT
Final score: highly misspellable but equally...
Read moreI had a wonderful dining experience at the Spanish restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively and festive.
I started my meal with the tapas, which were small plates of delicious food. I had the gambas al ajillo, which were garlic shrimp, and the croquetas de jamón, which were ham croquettes. The tapas were all perfectly cooked and the flavors were amazing.
For my main course, I had the paella, which was a generous portion of rice cooked with seafood, chicken, and vegetables. The paella was cooked to perfection and the flavors were perfectly balanced.
My server was very friendly and attentive. He made sure that my water glass was always full and he was always happy to answer my questions about the menu.
The atmosphere at the Spanish restaurant is lively and festive. The restaurant is decorated with traditional Spanish elements, such as flamenco dancers and bullfighting posters. The tables are close together, but it doesn't feel crowded. There is a lot of energy in the air and it's a great place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends or family.
Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at the Spanish restaurant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Spanish food in Ho...
