Not a great experience — disappointing service and drinks

The food wasn’t bad, but the drinks were a different story. The cappuccino tasted like water — I couldn’t even taste the cinnamon. My English breakfast tea (can’t recall the exact name from the menu) was equally bland, tasting like a weak mix of water and honey.

I let the server know the tea was bland and asked if I could add some condensed milk to make it more drinkable. I appreciated her letting me know that condensed milk and honey might not mix well. When I asked for a bit more honey to adjust the taste, she said okay — but mentioned it would cost extra. That caught me off guard. If a customer isn’t enjoying a drink and is just trying to make it more palatable, I would have expected a more understanding approach.

What really ruined the experience was the attitude. When I asked for condensed milk (this time, for my croissant), the server brought it over but with clear attitude. We finished the food (which was fine), but I couldn’t finish the drink — it was honestly unpleasant. We left without saying thank you — not intentionally rude, just didn’t feel inclined after that kind of service. Unfortunately, as we were leaving, we overheard them continuing their conversation and cursing, which felt extremely unprofessional.

The atmosphere itself wasn’t anything special. For a place with higher-than-average prices, I expected a better level of hospitality and customer care. Sadly, I didn’t feel welcome at all and...

This place was very disappointing after looking at the photos and reviews. When my partner and I arrived we were met with no smiles or real acknowledgement of our existence. The two girls behind the counter frowned at me when I asked if we could grab a table for two and were very blunt. The coffee and matcha were watered down and too sweet. The waffles were pretty decent. There was no one else in the cafe, they had no music playing, they were giggling and joking amongst one another.

Very disappointing and definitely not worthy of a five star...

I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! I wasn't expecting much, but the food was truly outstanding. I ordered a char siu pork noodle, and it was packed with flavor—fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The portion size was just right, and I couldn't resist trying dessert, which was equally delicious. I’m so glad I decided to give it a chance, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.
