Anchay-The Garden Cafe & Vegetarian food — Restaurant in Hue City

If you go for anything, I highly recommend the Vegan Unagi Don (braised eggplant with steamed white rice and cucumber salad). It’s an excellent dish, very flavorful.

We also tried the Vietnamese noodles with fried tofu and soya sauce, it was good but not as flavorful as the eggplant dish.

The Banana Pancake with Chocolate Sauce was disappointing. It’s was hard/dense in texture, not very sweet and not flavorful.

The Lemon Juice with salted plum was refreshing.

What a fantastic little restaurant! Attached to the homestay in a beautiful little garden, I was personally served a delicious vegetable curry and Tet cake with some complimentary tea. The food is very reasonably price (most items are below 40k) and the homeowners (and their very well behaved dogs!) are so friendly and informative. Super lovely cafe near the imperial city with great vegan options! We had the bahn mi and the smoothie (ask them to use water instead of fresh milk and condensed milk) and both were delicious! Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere, and a very pretty garden! The owner is so sweet and lovely and introduced us to all of her rescue dogs!!!

Wish we were in Hue for longer just so we could spend more time...
