Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended
If it was possible I wouldn't give one Star.
My experience at Sapa Nature View was profoundly disappointing and fell far below any acceptable standards of hospitality. Upon arrival, we encountered numerous serious issues with the room. The bed was broken, the bathroom was heavily affected by mold, and there were unsettling stains—possibly blood—on the ceiling, along with brown marks on the walls. The bedsheets were visibly stained and, despite multiple requests, were not changed during our stay.
Essential amenities such as a safe and a refrigerator, which were advertised, were entirely absent. The room was infested with cockroaches, and overall hygiene was poor. The swimming pool bore no resemblance to the promotional images—it was dirty, extremely cloudy, and contained floating debris, making it completely unusable.
Inside the room, there was a decorative bathtub that served no practical purpose. Outside the window, a car tire repurposed as a flower pot had been placed, and directly below the window there was a significant amount of trash, which further diminished the comfort and aesthetics of the space. Additionally, heavy construction work was taking place adjacent to and in front of the hotel, contributing considerable noise and visual disturbance. The entrance area was cluttered, and behind the glass panels, one could see what appeared to be storage or utility rooms, giving a very unkempt first impression.
Most concerning of all was the behavior of the staff, who were consistently unfriendly and unaccommodating. Although we stayed only one night, we were charged for two out of the four nights we had originally booked. We were told that even had we left immediately after checking in, the same charge would have applied. Full payment was demanded in advance, with no flexibility or understanding shown in response to the condition of the accommodation.
The only redeeming quality of the property was the view, which was indeed beautiful. Unfortunately, this alone does not come close to compensating for the many deficiencies in cleanliness, service, and overall hospitality. I strongly advise travelers to consider alternative...
Read moreThe restaurant is pretty good. Ordered lots of different dishes and the local Vietnamese dishes were all good. The western ones were terrible though. The pizza was from a box (and missing all the toppings supposedly on it), and the burger bun was totally stale and dry, with a tiny dry paddy inside. Disappointed. There seem to be different chefs on different days - one who cares, and one who doesn’t. However, the local foods were quite good. They’re more expensive than the other nearby places though, but not by too much. Even the standard beers are more expensive.
The hotel itself is ok. Rooms are clean, and pretty nice but the doors are paper thin and you can hear everything outside. We could hear the receptions front desk phone ringing all the time....and we’re not even on the same floor. Doors start slamming from 5:30am so you’re going to wake up early, even if you didn’t intend to.
Overall I’d give this hotel a 3....however the views from the top floor terrace are awesome, so I bump it up to 4. Maybe the best views in Sapa. I don’t know why they don’t advertise this more, it’s their biggest ‘plus’. I would stay here again, just for the amazing views from the rooftop terrace available to people staying there.
If they got better sound proofing doors, focused a little more on service standards (better training for staff), fired the bad cook (but keep the good one)... this would be a 5*...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to visit Sapa for a second time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had fantastic stay at Sapa Nature View. We booked the hotel last minute after a horrible experience at another hotel, and we're so glad we found Nature View. The whole staff was warm and welcoming. They upgraded our room at no cost to make our anniversary more special. The room was nicely designed, super clean, bathroom with all basic amenities that you would need. 2 bottles of water, tea and coffee refilled every day. Hose keeping did a great job leaving the room spotless every day. The location is perfect. Close to all the attractions. and walking distance to fansipan station, Getting a breakfast buffet included in the price was a great bonus. The food was very tasty. Fantastic coffe, and a must try the beef noodle soup. Antony, the manager was great always overseeing everything went smoothly, and checking on us. He also helped us book our tickets to Fansipan and bus back to Hanoi with good prices. Lastly the hotel has a cute rooftop area with a small pool overlooking the valley. Great to unwind after exploring the town. Can't stop raving about this hotel. What a great value...
