I've been here yesterday for my only dinner in Sa Pa as the place serve the black chicken that they say is a must to try. Unfortunately the experience was one of the worst I've ever had, not sure if because I was a woman solo traveller. They ignored me completely after I sit down. I had to stop them after 10 mins to order. The place was empty but they were kind of panicking for a big group I found out later was coming in. I ordered a tea, salmon spring rolls and the roasted black chicken. It took ONE hour for the spring rolls to be served and the staff was continuously ignoring me. When I was asking they were saying 5 mins 5 mins. Then the big group arrived 15 mins after I ordered and they were continuously served with the full staff on them keeping bringing food. The spring rolls arrived and I must say they were good. I had to inquire more times about my chicken and time it arrived I lost the appetite. I did try it for the sake of it (it was not as special as expected and even for a normal roasted chicken it was quite dry and with no seasoning) but I asked a take away box and the bill straight away. No apologies and no gesture has been done to apologise about what happened. Also for the whole experience it...

Our extended family of 20 came here our last night in Sapa for dinner. It was raining quite hard all day so we chose this restaurant bc it was a short walk from our hotel, and bc of the good reviews. We were disappointed to see that the place was dingy, and kind of dirty, from the tables to floors. Although we had called ahead an hour earlier ask them to set up a long table for our large group, when we came nothing was set up and the employees were all put out when we asked them again to do it. We ordered 18 dishes overall of fish, chicken soup and vegetables (just regular VN family food) . We were the only customers there, but service was incredibly slow. The food was pretty poor quality and flavors are lacking. We couldn't finish half of our food. The prices average 300 Dong per plate which is about 15 US dollars. Our final bill came to over 4 Mil Dong, about 200 US dollars.. Way way to high for VN food of this poor caliber. We regretted coming here for our last meal. NOT RECOMMENDED unless you want to...
Read moreJust terrible experience overall. Our order was simple, fried rice x2 and spring rolls. As we waited for the food, we noticed they brought the white rice from outside (another restaurant maybe?). The fried rice came, and as we were getting ready to eat, we spotted 2 mice inside the restaurant climbing on the walls (shocked)... Then the spring rolls came, and they were just impossible to eat, super oily, not crunchy at all, and terrible flavor. We told them the spring rolls were terrible, they put someone on the phone to tell me that was what I ordered, and I tried to explain they were just bad. Nothing happened. My husband went to pay the bill, and they still charged the spring rolls!! Bad experience,...
