We visited this restaurant during lunchtime and were surprised to find it almost empty – it was about 90% vacant. Despite the lack of other diners, we were eager to try their food. We ordered the black chicken in pumpkin, fried spring rolls, and a vegetable dish.
The vegetable dish was a standard stir-fry – crunchy, as it should be, but the flavour was nothing particularly special. However, the spring rolls were the absolute highlight of our meal! They were so delicious that we seriously considered ordering a second helping, but we decided to save room for our other dishes. They were perfectly crispy and paired with the sauce to dip in, wow.
The black chicken in pumpkin was an interesting and unusual dish. The chicken itself was very tender. While we enjoyed the dish, we felt it would have been even better if it had been served as a soup. This would have made it easier to eat and perhaps added another layer of flavour from the broth.
Overall, we had a pleasant lunch, the spring rolls alone were worth a visit, and the food was a bit hit-or-miss. While the restaurant was quiet during our visit, the quality of the spring roll made it...
Read moreWe went here for dinner with my wife. The first thing is the staff doesn’t speak english at all. I don’t demand for the staff to have a conversation but to not understand the word spoon or no sugar is a bit over the top considering most tables around us were all english speaking guest. We ordered drinks and were asked to pay them immediately so while my wife was eating the waiter waited for her to pay. She had to stop her meal reach for her wallet to pay. First he didn’t accept cash but we only had cash so because of the language barrier after a harsh demand to pay in cash he accepted. The food was eatable but my mixed fried rice the rice was hard and tasteless. The rest nothing to write home about. We own 3 restaurants in Bali and my wife is the chef. A notice to the owner. Has Sapa is a tourist destination you will have mostly english speaking guest. Get your staff to know spoon sugar the basic. For the food get a new chef. This is from a Thai food Vietnamese...
Read moreWent there for dinner with a family of four, and the total came to around 1.3m VND, which is actually cheap compared to other places. We ordered the Pumpkin Chicken, stir-fried water cabbage, deep-fried pork, and sturgeon. The pumpkin chicken was nice—very flavorful with a strong herb taste. However, the black chicken was a bit tough and hard to bite through. Out of everything, my favorite was the sturgeon. It was really tasty, especially when wrapped in veggies, pineapple, and rice paper. The fish meat was soft and went perfectly with the fresh ingredients. The waiter speaks English, so it’s easy to communicate and place your order. They also offer free Wi-Fi, and the portion sizes are big, so you definitely get your...
