Vid Odenplan i Vasastan reser sig den imponerande, ja rent av pampiga Gustav Vasakyrkan. Är du i närheten, tag dig tid att träda in, det är en kyrka som är värd både ett och flera besök! Den mäktiga kupolen som möter dig när du väl är inne i själva kyrkorummet sträcker sig med sina 60 meter närapå ända upp till himlen och stämmer till andakt och kontemplation.

Det är något som kan behövas som motvikt till hetsen och jäkten som pågår på utsidan, runt Odenplan, en del av staden som har utvecklats till ett allt mer intensivt nav för trafik och transporter. I Gustav Vasakyrkan, invigd 1906, är ofta också platsen att avnjuta fin musik. På orgelläktaren härskade under nära 50 år den uppskattade och uppburne kompositören och profesorn i orgelspel Otto Olsson, och orgeltraditionerna lever starka.
