Jones Street Take Away — Attraction in Albury

It's been a while since I had really great fish and chips that was moist, flaky and melt in your mouth so to speak!

I've found it hard to find food fish n chips in Albury especially me being a bit of a food snob and particular about things. But this was so scrumptious!!

3 potato cakes, fish n chips for just between 17-18 dollars thats pretty good these days.

The home made potato cakes were my favourite! And are just like the previous Jones St Takeway. Best around Albury in my opinion

The lovely young boy doing the phones was very friendly, polite, had smile and in person was great but if I could offer some feedback as someone with a disability (slight to severe stutter). Patience, being aware that a sometimes people need that bit of extra time or understanding because their struggling.

When reading back orders be clear amd concise with what you say so there are no misunderstandings as well as stating what the total came too.

Hope this comes across as the constructive criticism I mean it to be to help you all improve and not as rude or a slap in the face.

Delicious sea food! I'm not a fan of sea food normally but this place makes it special.

Today I enjoyed their crab sticks with chips while my daughter ACTUALLY ATE her kids meal (chips & nuggest).

Their menu is diverse and their prices reflect the quality. Their crab sticks are the best I think I've ever eaten. Not over cooked, not over battered. It was light, tasty and that batter!! Yummo!

The staff are family and are super friendly and accomidating to needs. I bought too many sauce packets and they offered a refund. Just nice all round.

The food preparation and storage looks super clean and well kept. The tables and chairs are also super clean and plenty of seating. They make their potato cakes fresh in store daily!

Definitely going back to try many more options on their menu.

There's something good happening here, Jones Street Take Away have the secret to crispy chips. The fish batter is pretty good too. The thing that surprises me most is that both chips and fish aren't oil soaked despite being deep fried. And no old oil taste. Other positives I reckon are a really easy to read wall menu, exceptionally clean everything in the store. Polite and easy to talk to staff. Clean tables and chairs for eating at or waiting for your order. Take away brown paper bags are taped closed to retain heat. I parked right in the front but there's other parking on Jones Street and a side lane.
