Comfort Inn Commodore — Hotel in Albury

Edit: bells definitely started at 7, but I certainly appreciate you trying to make it look like I’ve blown things out of proportion. It’s also probably in your best interest to warn other people staying if there is a car event on, would have likely prevented poor reviews.

Location is excellent in terms of accessibility to town centre and the check in was super easy and convenient but after an extremely long drive and late night arrival, we were pretty desperate for a decent sleep, which this place unfortunately does not offer.

Bed was super tough with busted springs, curtains are also busted / don’t fully close and the aircon light won’t turn off so the room is very bright and outside noise is hard to see past. If you are arriving late, also be prepared to wake up at 7 regardless of your alarm as the church bells start at this time and do so every hour. Shower pipes are also loud and probably need replacing as the neighbour room shower woke me up yet again.

Running on very minimal energy after two nights of basically no sleep. As I’m writing this, the other guests are making a ruckus outside and revving their cars right outside the door. It’s 8am.

Location is awesome right next to shops and Cafes. Friendly staff at the front desk as well.

I think we had a dud room reading all the reviews- the door to the bathroom didn’t close (not great when sharing with others) the fixtures in the bathroom didn’t quite fit so it was comical just have much the rattled. The aircon didn’t work, despite being on 30’C we were freezing in the room. None of the bedside lights worked.

I concur with another review. The church bells start at 7am so be prepared for a wake up call! They are rather loud, we were also treated to bagpipes - not the hotels fault but good to know you’ll be woken up early!

It could use additional parking, parking was packed and tight with cars overflowing into the club behind the hotels carpark.

The room was clean however in no way was my room a queen deluxe room the bathroom may have been renovated but you could not swing a cat in it no room to put toiletries we and our friends had 2 rooms & stayed for 3 nights check in was good however the room was not serviced during our stay which was very disappointing there was a note on the back of the door stating that it won’t be cleaned during our stay and that it has been sanitised not sure why if housekeeping cleaned our room daily this would be bad for us, to make it worst is that Every morning at 5 am a metal gate was dragged open I do believe it was a gate towards the back of the units I observed a person opening it again at about 7.45 am it is very noisy hotel and just pointing out that it is not disabled friendly you can’t use a wheelchair because the staff leave a trolley in the path way and you can’t move past it safely with the wheelchair sorry to say it’s not worth the...
