The Valley Grocer — Local services in Brisbane City

I shop here regularly for fruit and vegetables. They have a huge range including things you can't find elsewhere. I like that the fruit is ripe and ready to eat, no need to wait days like the stuff you get from supermarkets that's too green. The staff are always friendly. The asian foods supermarket next to it has everything else you need. I was surprised to see the other reviews were quite negative and give a poor impression of this business because I have shopped here many times and have always been happy with the quality. The prices here are really the cheapest I have found in Brisbane, like seriously cheap. I don't eat eggs so I can't comment on that. A great variety of fresh Asian veggies at reasonable prices available e.g. Asian radish, bitter gourd, winter melon, lady's finger, Thai basil, Vietnamese mint, betel leaves, turmeric, lemon grass, and a variety of bananas.

There is also a fresh meat butcher, BBQ and roasted meat takeaways and Thai supermarket, Thai cafe and Thai restaurant within the same complex. One stop shop 🇹🇭👍🏻

Very polite staff, there were 3 sections- the Asian supermarket( where I got a bamboo steamer, frozen paratha roti and frozen peeled cassava), the vegetable section(very good prices ( I got some purple potato, sweet potato and brocolli) and a butcher that just opened next to the fresh produce ( very helpful staff, I got a discount and got some mince beef, pork and some Maryland chicken cut up- they cut it up for me! So good!)...
