Mariner's Cove Marina — Attraction in Gold Coast City

This place changed ownership.it is now with a discrete but tasteful decor; the food is a bit different and a bit more expensive but still ok. The drinks are more expensive then what it used to be. It really wouldn't matter because the location is absolutely amazing and the service is really good(everyone is smiling and attentive). The problem is that we only manage to stay outside for 10 minutes because we had to leave to look for a corner where we could speak without the loud music damaging our ears!! We couldn't find it so, we just finish it drinks and got out of there fast... They have to decide if that is a place for some drinks and a meal while listening to music ( on the background) or, it's a disco where people go from 11am get drunk, don't talk, move their bodies, laugh and scream out loud in order to hear each other. Went out on the whale tour on The Spirit of Gold coast, staff are always amazing and accommodating, especially to the sea sick passengers. Were extremely lucky to have two whales breach at the same time right next to us. 😃🐳 Saw a turtle and school of flying fish. Accomadates children really well.Very educational. There is inside seating, out side rails, and upstairs with the captain if you like to be up higher. Open bar & snacks. BIG disappointment this place is. Risks and Hazzard everywhere. Filthy, old, Hazzard prone lodges. Old and extremely dated. Very poor customer service and real expensive experience. Stock up well from dry good to wet goods cause the general store has nothing. I am glad we went only for 2 nites. This place would thrive if only management and staff would built customer service knowledge and keeping the lodges clean And also having basics in the store. .
