Pleasant, full featured condo that is convenient to Atlantis without being crowded into the middle of it. There were no bad surprises, everything was clean and relatively updated, and staff was incredibly attentive in all encounters. Having a fully functional kitchen was really helpful in managing dining costs. The hotel is located just down the hill from the main Atlantis hotels and has easy walking proximity to the marina that features several shops, bars, and restaurants. It has its own pool with bar and this was a nice quiet escape from the doings of the main Atlantis property. Pool closes at 5, something we found across all the Atlantis properties. There’s a small plaza across the street with a helpful quick mart but you really want get your groceries in town. My recommendation is that on your taxi ride from the airport, stop off for groceries right away (bring your own bags). It will add $20 to your taxi but it’s much better than doing a separate, more costly run. Anthony’s is a nice restaurant just across the street and is more affordable than any Atlantis eateries. About 1/2 mi away is Viola's, which was the most affordable meal we had ($22 each) while also offering a lovely outdoor dining experience. That said, we were thankful to have lots of dining options at the marina (pizza, deli, fine dining, food, Italian, and quick eats). In all, everything about Harborside was a great experience for us.

Disappointed, Sick, and Let Down - A Vacation I Was Looking Forward To Disappointed, Sick, and Let Down: A Vacation I Was Looking Forward To I recently stayed at Harborside Resort at Atlantis through my aunt’s timeshare, which she couldn’t use this year. I covered the maintenance fee myself, excited for a much-needed break but what I experienced was nothing short of unacceptable, especially for a resort of this caliber and one that caters to timeshare owners. Upon check-in on Sunday Aril 28, 2025 morning, I immediately noticed a musty, mouldy smell upon entering unit 1708. I tried to dismiss it at first, hoping it would improve with some air circulation, but it only got worse. As someone with low immunity, asthma, a migraine disorder, and lung damage from COVID, I am extremely sensitive to environmental triggers and unfortunately, this unit was full of them. I like to flag that I travel with a personal air purifier as well as one for around my neck. The washroom was visibly unclean, with the shower curtain covered in mould and previous guests’ debris still present. The phone in the unit was also not working, which made it difficult to reach staff without physically leaving the room. I immediately raised these concerns with the front desk, explaining my health vulnerabilities and the risks involved. I expected a higher level of care, concern, and urgency but the staff’s response was inadequate and delayed. Sadly, I became extremely ill within the first few days, and so did my travel companion. What was supposed to be a rejuvenating escape became a medical setback. This forced me to shorten my stay and leave on Thursday May 1. I had to pay an extra airline change fee and return home early, forfeiting the thousands of dollars it cost to get there not to mention the emotional toll of having a long-anticipated trip ruined. I am now back home and in the process of detoxifying and recovering. It is deeply troubling that a resort operating under the Atlantis brand would allow units in this condition to be occupied especially by timeshare guests, who invest yearly in maintenance fees with the expectation of quality accommodations and standards. I will also be contacting the Canadian Consulate in The Bahamas to report the health risks and my experience, as this was not only disappointing but dangerous. This is not how a luxury timeshare experience should unfold. I hope management takes this review seriously and investigates the conditions and standards of their rooms, because no one should fall ill on a vacation they worked so hard to take.

It was great to have your own Villa just be prepared if you plan on washing dishes and doing laundry. Bring your supplies from home such as dish soap dish tabs and detergent for washing a scrubie and dish wrags. The kitchen has bare bones for cooking with. If you use something from home pack it take you it will save you a headache having good utensils or a decent fry pan. Also the units do. Not have ovens... shopping at the grocery store on the island is outrageously expensive but still cheaper that going out to eat. A pound of bacon is 12.99 it was like hormel, and a half gallon of Haagan Daz was 35.00 $ but ice cream out is like 10$ a person. The pools close early 6pm and nothing else to do for evening. You can however ride the free shuttle to any if the other hotels on property they they do run frequent. And do bring a good pair of tennis shoes. Walking about 20,000 steps or so a day. We did walk on the marina side of the resorts you can gaze a some stunning yachts and even shops are open late there but are a bit pricey. If you need just a few things you can walk to a small grocery store near buy. They do not carry much but does have a little. Also in the shopping center they have a liquor store and you can buy your rum or beer it is back behind Dunkin donuts. You need to walk threw a small market first and the liquor is in the back of the store. Some tips: 1. Bring good tennis shoes 2. Bring your own snorkel gear if you have some. You can snorkel at the Cove beach. 3. Pack dish soap dishwasher tabs and laundry pods and dish wrags and a scrubie for dishes. 4. Ladies if you like floaties pack it. 5. Plenty of ocean safe sunscreen we want to keep the coral alive. 6. Don't feed the fish in the ocean it can draw the sharks in. 7. Do your research ahead for your excusuins. 8. If your tired and you have kids bring along a gaming system. Pools close early and internet costs money daily. Or family games. 9. Pack some dry goods from home such as cereal snacks you will save alot. It would be worth it to pay the extra baggage fees. 10. Not much for kids to do under 48" slides would be out of the question so only the pools and beaches.

I hate to have to say this, our villa that I pay high maintenance fees for every year and is mortgage free, what I have been told is to maintain the villas. My son and I were given a bottom of the barrel villa this year. Then they wanted me to buy another week, Are They Joking?I was very disappointed. We did have a great time R&R. I took pictures of the inside of the villa but I am embarrassed to post them, We had a broken telephone, broken tub faucet ( the faucet was literally out of the wall) The Jetted tub was disgustingly Dirty! It was Nasty! A housekeeper came in to clean it, it was still Nasty! The Shower Curtain was so disgusting I thought I was going to vomit. So I pay high maintenance fees for what??? There was a metal panel on the ceiling, partially hanging down, 2 screws were missing. We had a burnt coffee maker, it looked like the one I used 15 years ago, except this visit it was burnt. I Will Say Bahamas is definitely Paradise Island! The Harborside no so much. The timeshare I bought back in 2002 was beautiful. Every year up goes the maintenance fee and the units decline. Where are the Maintenance Fees going? To the landscape company? That was the only maintenance I could see!

Great rooms and lots of space in the rooms. It’s nice to have some space for a kitchen, dining area, laundry and sitting area. Very pretty views and we stayed with a view of the pool which is very nice. I rated it 4 stars because we started off on the wrong foot here. They tried to put me and my kids in two separate rooms without adjoining doors. They said a building was out and they didn’t have enough 2 bedrooms. The problem is that we booked this 9 months ago and at no point were we contacted about this issue. It took a long time for them to sort it out but it finally was figured out and we were given two one bedroom connecting rooms. After that initial bad impression we have had great experiences with the staff and the grounds, all have been fantastic and very kind and easy to deal with.

Other than being located next to Marina Village, we did not enjoy our stay at all. Our room was dirty, my kids’ feet were black after walking around the room without shoes on. They also did roof maintenance and woke everyone up at 9am every single morning of our stay. The front desk doesn’t care and they have such a bad attitude. Customer service is terrible. When we arrived our room had no bath towels, there were multiple strands of hair in the tub, the shower was moldy, and the bed sheet was stained. We are timeshare owners but felt like we stayed in a dingy motel. Do not recommend. A dirty room, clogged toilet, and roof repair weren’t enough to get another room. When we asked if we could switch to a nearby room that looked vacant, the front desk asked with major attitude, “How do you know it’s vacant?” Do not recommend and will not come back.
