Atlantis Marina — Attraction in New Providence

From the time we pulled into the Atlantis Marina in Nassau, we continually had issues with customer service. We'd called ahead to let them know we were coming. When we arrived, the winds were pretty strong making docking difficult. A dock hand had been sent to assist us. When we arrived, he was sitting in his golf cart checking out his phone even though he knew we were there. It wasn't until we were about to hit the dock that he decided to get up to help us, and once he did, he was anything but pleasant. It was very apparent that he preferred to be on his phone instead of doing his job. We had to be somewhat forceful to get him to do anything.

We then asked it if would be possible to move to a slip closer to the Atlantis waterpark. The response, "We save those for the high rollers." And from that point on, we were treated as second class citizens. The second day we were there, we radioed for a pump out of the holding tanks at 7:30 a.m. We were told someone would help us a little after 8:00. One of the dock hands (a very pleasant gentleman) kept coming by and telling us he'd be there in a few minutes. At 10:00, we called to ask what the hold up was and were told the vehicle they used had a flat and they'd send it as soon as it was ready which should be around 11:00 a.m. The person who answered our call was very short with us even though we did everything we could to be pleasant. They never came that day at all. They finally showed up the next morning. The dock hand was wonderful and did the entire pump out on his own. He was the one bright light at the marina.

Considering the cost of staying at the Atlantis Marina, I'd recommend finding another place to stay at one of the other marinas on the other side of the bay unless you're...

Truly enjoy pulling the boat in here and staying a few nights. The staff are great and friendly as well as the resort itself. Make sure to have a reservation in advance as this place fills up. Docks are concrete and in great shape. The dock hands know what they are doing and know how to assist you in maneuvering so make sure to listen to them if they are telling you to do something.
