Huidenvettersplein is an atmospheric small square situated at the turn in Dijver Canal. The square dates back to the middle ages and was the site of leather processing until the 15th century. Today the square is lined with restaurants, many with outdoor seating, creating more of a courtyard feel to Huidenvettersplein. An interesting monument to see here is the very old stone column which is topped by the figure of two lions behind a shield.
