For anyone who has ever tried a great, tasty burger - this is not the place! Considering the fact that this restaurant markets itself as a burger specialist and serves pretty much ONLY burgers and beer, and considering the price point (cheapest on the menu was their Classic Jilles burger for 15€, accompanied by the cheapest possible beer for 2.90€), this was a complete and utter disappointment and a disgrace to those who actually make great quality burgers. For 15€-€20 euros, excluding sides (so you're paying purely for the buns and patty here), you'd expect that they would at least GRIND themselves a high quality beef patty from high quality meat, and give you the choice of how well-done you want it. But no. The beef patties are pre-ordered, and have that classic, rubbery beef patty texture that all pre-made, processed beef patties share. This, of course, means that the restaurant doesn't guarantee the meat is fresh, high-quality beef, without additional preservatives. The audacity they have, to charge 15€ for a pre-made beef patty that they slapped between two sad little buns and call themselves a burger specialist is preposterous.

This is not a 1 star review because:

  1. I liked that the menu suggests a beer match for your burger.
  2. you can get a gluten free bun for...

Restaurant has a good location. And the Burgers and the beer were really good. Especially the burger where above your average restaurant burger. In my personal opinion tho, the barbecue sauce is really not good. It's way too sweet, tastes more like a sugar sauce then bbq. They have a great range of local and international beers.

However the service was awful. The waitress was friendly, but very slow. After we had the menu for 30min we had to actually go the the kitchen to ask her out, so she could take out order. She didn't seem very happy about it. Drinks were served quit fast afterwards but she managed to get things wrong or completely forget about them. We finished eating for about 20-30 mins and the empty plates were still on the table. We eventually got up to look for here so we can pay. Once we left the plat's where still on the table.

It was also not possible to pay separately, because they have 1% credit card fee on each transaction, so they won't split the bill.

All in all, good Burgers ruined by terrible service. Really...

In the evening, we wanted to have hamburgers and chicken for dinner, and Jill's menu caught my attention. We didn't want just a regular hamburger or chicken, and I'm glad we decided to eat at Jill's.

The buns were fantastic. Some places that make burgers use sweet buns, which don't suit my taste at all. The hamburger buns were excellent and didn't overpower the flavor of the meat. The onion rings and french fries were amazing.

I ordered the "Jacques Rebel" chicken burger, which was delicious with melted cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and their special sauce. The kids chose the Hugo Classic hamburger and they said they really liked it. All of our burgers cane with delicious coleslaw in its special cold glass serving cups.

Normally, when I eat fast food-style burgers, I feel bloated and have a bad aftertaste within an hour, but we didn't feel that way here.

The service was friendly, and we were very satisfied with the experience, especially the kids. I definitely...
