This chronological and thematic exhibition begins with a presentation of the events preceding the Berlin Congress when Austria-Hungary was given a mandate to administer Bosnia and Herzegovina, and concludes with World War I and the part played in it by the First Bosnian Regiment. The themes of the exhibition are: 1. Resistance to the occupation; 2. The new administration; 3. Lifestyle; 4. Cultural, religious and educational societies, printing presses and publishing; 5. Industry and architecture; 6. The annexation and the Bosnian Assembly; 7. The assassination of the heir presumptive, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and his wife Sophie; 8. World War I. The exhibition also includes life-size models of Franz Ferdinand and Sophie. The Museum of Sarajevo 1878-1918 is located in the actual building outside which Archduke Franz Ferdinand and Sophie were assassinated. We recently visited this museum in Sarajevo and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. After paying the entry fee, we entered what turned out to be a single-room exhibit. In the center of the room, a VR setup was available, with no clear signage or staff explaining that it required an additional fee. My daughter sat down next to another child who was already watching, and they began the experience together.
Within minutes, a woman approached us and very rudely demanded we pay extra for the VR. She spoke harshly to my daughter, who was visibly upset and felt she had done something wrong—when in fact, there was nothing to indicate the VR was not included in the ticket. What made matters worse was that the other child and their family, who were also using the VR without having paid, were not spoken to at all.

Read moreI didn't believe that the museum could hide a lot of buildings around ahahah, well in total you can visit 5 buildings around the museum with different exposure, it all starts with kind people at the entrance who will come to you and welcome you , and the cost is almost 3 euro ,based on my experience first when I started visiting the archeological museum I was lil bit down nearly go back and but I gave myself the time to walk around , you can't believe what have seen , I let you to go and visit the museum and come back and leave the comments here , I'm sure you'll have the same experience like me who can laugh and say it's amazing and great experience ahahah ,...
