What an awful experience! We went there to have a vegan stew - there were 3 options: peas, okra and string beans (all of which are originally cooked without meat which can be added afterwards for omnivores). My fiance and I ordered peas for him and okra (which I loved as a child) for me. We ordered some mashed potatos as a side dish. Well, we got only stews without any potatos and they were ... sad, to say at least. Okra was totally tasteless, this stew didn't see a salt or any other spice, not ever from far away. Peas were tasty, but it was only peas in thin red sauce. Nothing else. My fiance ate everything, I had to leave almost 2/3 of okra as it was terrible. That was just the begining. The real shock was the bill - we paid 40 KM/20 € for 2 drinks and 2 stews! 8 € for a stew is pricey even for Slovenia, our homeland. Gladly we found some great food later that day, that we will soon feature on our website extraveganza.si. There are great vegan options on Sarajevo, just not here, at...
Read moreI would have given four or five stars. Unfortunately, the service we got was extremely insensitive so I am giving just one star for the food.
The food is great, the place not too bad either. However our group was told rudely that we had “driven off our customers” and when we apologised he said “too late for that”. Turns out the customers we had driven out simply moved outdoors. So they did not lose any service and being an extremely large group, we ordered a lot and contributed to their sales. But I guess that was not enough to simply ask us or tell us kindly that we were being too loud or inconvenient for others.
All in all, I would say the food is good and being tucked in a corner it isn’t as crowded as other places; however the man running it ought to give the same consideration to all his customers - why favour some over others? Why consider some customers more important and scolding others? Reeks of discrimination to me. Quite...
Read moreFor vegetarians they do have a few options, but mine wasn't satisfying. I took the pasta filled with cheese. It was really blend with a watery white cream sauce drowned under a thick layer of oil. So the amount of actual food on the plate was not enough to be satisfied. The cheese I had to look for it in order to recognize it was there. For me a disappointing experience, also due to the price that comes to it. At least the pasta was not overcooked, but without seasoning it by myself I wouldn't have eaten it. Now I need to search for more food to not stay hungry. The beer they brought wasn't really cold. Atmosphere between staff seemed stressed out a bit. The overall atmosphere due to music and decoration, design was really nice. For me the best thing was the soft bread they gave us. For people who eat meat it might be a better spot. I...
