Oh MY GOSH!!! CHARMING!! CHARMING! CHARMING! If you like books and things that have to do with books and interesting gift items in a charming setting… run .. don’t walk to the Cafe Books!!! While on our week long Banff National Park vacation we stayed in Canmore and as I have a tendency to do I looked up bookstores near by. After I saw the description and photos I knew it was a must. So I asked if I could have 30 minutes in here on our way out of town! Luckily the men in our group said yes. See part of the problem is parking in the town.. mostly it is an ordeal. You have to do it online etc. Anyway I went .. I ohhhed and awwed and bought!! Love that store!! Like the clerk told me it’s us who keep it going! Go and buy something so we can keep the small stores going!!

This is probably my favorite little place in Canmore. I bought a book here and found my way to the "Used Books Cafe" - where I was able to seat quietly for awhile and read my book and drink a nice pot of tea. I wish there was something like this near my place here in Calgary. The place is so quaint surrounded with books and tiny tables that makes it so cozy. I also love their little China tea cups. I don't know when I'll visit Canmore again but I'll definitely visit this place again when I do.

This is probably my favorite little place in Canmore. I bought a book here and found my way to the "Used Books Cafe" - where I was able to seat quietly for awhile and read my book and drink a nice pot of tea. I wish there was something like this near my place here in Calgary. The place is so quaint surrounded with books and tiny tables that makes it so cozy. I also love their little China tea cups. I don't know when I'll visit Canmore again but I'll definitely visit this place again when I do.

Really pretty store with tons of great books, but abrupt bordering on rude service. This hasn't been uncommon in the past either. We went twice this past weekend and both times left surprised by the service. No pleasantries or offers to help & a hostile brusque manner from the person working. I love bookstores and always make an effort to shop local and there were lots of attractive options here, but I don't think we'll be back. I could see covid testing their patience and imagine it's very difficult but we wore masks, used hand sanitizer, and were there to shop and not just browse. A plus was the gallery they share a hallway with was gorgeous and we got some...

Beautifully decorated book store continuously come here anytime I visit Canmore.

However on my last visit which was today I felt singled out by an employee at the store who was schooling me on copyright laws when all I did was take a picture of the book cover and mind you I could have done this online as well.

I really wanted to purchase the book after an Instagram user advised how it changed her life. But my pride got the best of me and I ended up buying it online on chapters.

I'll still give it 3 stars cause this place looks beautiful. The owner really worked hard in creating a homey atmosphere that unfortunately will take a while for me to...
